A week ago we had one of Kimbers first litter come home. His family was moving out of state and couldn't take him with them, so home he came. ❤❤
He has some anxiety problems and kennel aggression we are working through as well as learning how to be outside and be a dog. He is doing amazing for the amount of changes in the last week, and will continue to be socialized and laying a foundation with his training.

He will be looking to give all his kisses to his new home after a few months of rehab (and he has lots to give!) ❤🐾

This is so true! I may not be perfect with every pup, but I sure do try before they go home! I recognize I have them in a very crucial part if their lives that shape how the handle their futures, and try my best to socialize them properly! 🐾🐾

💥 💥 💥 UPDATE 💥 💥 💥

🎉🎉🐾 Both Pups are pending homes! 🐾🎉🎉

Two babies left! 🐶🐶They are 8.5 weeks old today and are needing home.

⭐⭐I will be picky on where they go, and I want to place them in the home that is the best fit! So they won't go to just anyone. ⭐⭐

💕💕First up is our little black tri Runt! She is half the size of everyone else in the litter at 4.5lbs and is just a doll. She has s***k, and wants to work, but is just tiny. I have a feeling she is either going to be a small Mini, or toy size. But don't let her size fool you, she has the best work ethic of the entire litter! She needs an active home, pefer a one other dog home, or a home with a couple smaller dogs like herself. I don't want her to go to a home with a few large dogs, because that wouldn't be fair to her. Also don't want her to go to a family that'll let her attitude get away from her. I would like an active family with some herding dog experience and possibly a trainer on board.

❤❤Second up is my last red tri male. He is super sweet, but feisty. Out of a litter of 7, he ranked 3rd or 4th even with being one of the smaller ones. His home needs to know how to handle an alpha personality and medium to high drive, with a sweet disposition. He's a sweetheart and would love to have tummy loves all day, but when bored he goes and looks for something to do and gets himself into trouble. In his new home I would like the family to have experience with a high drive herding dog and know how to handle it well. In short, he needs a job to do.

🐾Both pups have been given multiple baths, nails trimmed, brushed, started leash training, and started basic command training. Also have started crate training as well as they know how to use a dog door to go outside to go potty. Not going to say potty trained, because dogs aren't capable of full bladder control untill 4 months old at the earliest.They have been exposed to kids, chickens, kittens, other dogs, and many adults. I do own horses, ducks, and pigs but haven't purposefully exposed the pups to them.

🐾They have their tails docked, declaws removed, first set of shots, and microchips. An adoption contract will be in place and there is an adoption/removing fee. I can answer any questions you may have.

🎆If it sounds like you are a good fit for either pup please reach out and chat. I would love for them to find their forever homes, but if it's not the best fit them I don't mind having them on board here until they find their forever homes.

I FINALLY get to tell the sweetest and most loving story between and husband and wife and my Blue Collared Boy! 🥰

Days after the Tamarack Litter was born, Kaitlyn approached me and wanted a puppy for her husband as a surprise. He had lost his last few dogs a while ago, and hadn't had one of his own for a while and she loves my female Kimber. So we discussed my placement processes and that one of the litter would be reserved for him, but they wouldn't know which one they going to take home untill the litter was about 5-6 weeks old.

She lasted 48 hrs before she spilled the beans, and now the husband knew, but was also very excited.

As the weeks progressed they came over to meet the litter and spend time with them almost weekly, and he noticed how she fell absolutely in love with a little male from the litter. He pulled some strings, and worked overtime to be able to afford to pay for the puppy, but it was a surprise. This surprise was kept secret the whole time.

She tried to talk him into the puppy time and time again, but the husband was sorry they couldn't afford him at the moment. Maybe the next litter baby.

Then her favorite puppy was marked SOLD, and she cried. She was so upset her favorite was going to a different home; she wanted him so bad. She had even named him to pair with the husband's female perfectly. Birch, but he was going to make another family happy.

As a breeder I started pairing these two puppies up, they supported each other with kennel training, they bathed together, Birch slept on her stolen shirt, and Cedar slept on her new dad's shirt.

Then today came, the day Birch was going home. I had the contracts drawn up, and the folders labeled for each Puppy. The husband walked in and said Katie has some paperwork for you to sign, Kaitlyn's like "No, you! It's your puppy." Then she reads the folders, Cedar and Birch..? What? No way.

Yes, we can keep a secret 😉 and do you want to meet him? At this point she doesn't know if it's the last male I have or her favorite...

and it's her favorite. As you can see she is so happy and overjoyed with her new baby. 💕

3 weeks, a secret. Not to call his name when she's around, or when talking about him to her. Praying my 4 year old doesn't say anything either, because he has a thing about calling them by their names. Calling her husband and asking the questions I need to know to fill out the contract and best prepare Birch for his new home in secret.

These are your go home bags, and making them make me sad and so incredibly happy for my pups. They have amazing homes awaiting them, and they start trickling to them today and tomorrow.

In these bags are your blankeys, you favorite toys, food, and the paperwork for you new Mom's and Dad's.

The two unnamed name tags mean you haven't found your perfect homes yet, but you will. I am searching, and will only let you two go to the absolute best!

I raise puppies because I love it, not because of the money. I truly love raising these babies, and do the best I can. ❤🐾

If you notice from the crate posts, A Puppy is Missing!

I only have 6 puppies in Crates and there are 7 Puppies in the Tamarack Litter. 😱

Traveler is the puppy who is getting a different approach to self-soothing. The family that will be getting her will never place her in a kennel, but will leave her in random places with her "blanket" as a comfort and that they will return for her. So to teach her to self-sooth without the restrictions of a kennel and refrain from tying her up has been a challenge as well. But puppy steps! And she is excelling as well! 🥰🐾

Born 12.12.2020, this litter was an education all on it's own. I am so excited to see them step into their futures, and grow with their new families!
