This is Heidi. Sadly, Heidi lost her daddy and her family could no longer care for her so she was surrendered to us. Heidi is a Shih Poo. She is 10 plus years old and 10.5 lbs. Heidi has always been an inside girl and very loved. She’s always been in an older — calmer household, so not sure how she would be with small kids. She’s great with other animals. She’s a super loving little pup. She is the most timid of the 3 surrendered from this case but that’s is to be expected as her world has been turned upside down. We have not experienced any aggression at all. Heidi is Fully vetted and altered. We hope to get her groomed soon. Get your apps in on this beautiful girl.

All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!

Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.

Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact Parkway Animal Hospital as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Noble Heart Bear Update !

Noble Heart Bear is a unsure cuddly puppy . He is just settling in from a very stressful weekend . Foster mom says he is pretty unsure and shakes but still wants cuddles with his foster mom . His foster brother has friended him to reassure Noble that his new life will just get better from here and he doesn’t have to be scared anymore.
Noble Bear is a male Bernadoodle puppy . He is not available for adoption at this time . We are still learning about him and he needs to see a vet before he will be ready for his forever home . Please stay turned for more updates on this sweet boy .

10 year old Bertram is in need of some tender care. Bertram came to us from The San Jose Animal Shelter and can not wait to make someone very happy. Bertram is very mellow and is pretty much a snuggle buddy. Interested in meeting me? Please visit our adoption center located at 12425 Monterey Rd in San Martin anytime during open hours (12-6pm weekdays, 12-5 pm weekends). No appointment is necessary and there is no pre-application process.

Bertram's Foster say's:

- He walks well on leash (no pulling)
- Loves car rides. stays in seat, does not jump around
- Good with cats, chickens and other dogs
- Prefers to be with other dogs
- Mostly potty trained, but still marking in the house(this may be just our house due to many animals)
- Slow to trust, adopter will need to be patient and TREATS!!
