Why buy your axolotl from a pet store when you can buy your new axolotl right out of a breeders home?!
I currently have a set up to raise hundreds of axolotls and only axolotls. Meaning they receive the best care and attention considering they are the only species that needs to be cared for.
Daily water changes are essential when the axolotls are being tubbed or if the tank is not cycled. Is your local pet store correctly caring for these animals in the way they need to thrive?
When little, axolotls will ruthlessly eat eachothers legs or gills off if not separated. Therefore having too many axolotls in one enclosure can be an equation for disaster.
Please make sure you are acknowledging these little guys daily needs if you are planning on selling or even buying an axolotl.
It is always best to get your new pet from a reputable breeder with knowledge on the species and care.
I am located out of Virginia and can answer any questions you might have.
I can also refer you to other reputable breeders out of state if needed!

Hey guys!
Axolotls are now legal in Virginia as of august 1st, 2021
If you didn’t already know, I will be at the Richmond reptile expo on October 23RD!!! I will have my axolotls babies with me for purchasing, and I can’t wait to share them with you! I will also have some information sheets and samples of pellets they can eat. If there’s anything else you guys would like to see at the expo, axolotls related please let me know!! Hope to see lots of lotl lovers out there and other supporters as well.
