Safe to say the lovely Hector is very happy with his clip. 🥰
He’s going on a driving pleasure ride this weekend so now he’ll be super comfortable during his work.
He’s a total legend and I think you’ll agree looks incredible at a mere 23 years old.

He’s a really lovely young competition horse who showed no signs of being uncomfortable.

It doesn’t need to be said that having a horse is a full time commitment, as well as a hugely rewarding lifestyle in which we all find ourselves.

But…sometimes it’s nice to have a day off from the chores isn’t it?

Yesterday I went back to College.

‘Equine Anatomy and Physiology’

A very interactive course…we painted a horse! Skeletal one side muscular the other and then loose schooled to see how they moved and worked each system. So cool!

Thank you Bicton College… it was totally free! Incredible that more people aren’t taking advantage of these courses.

The college has changed only a bit..don’t tell anyone but it was 25 years ago, in 1998, that I started my Equine Studies here at Bicton College.

I’m so pleased to be a member of The British Grooms Association.

They’re a professional association for people that work with horses and they exist to support members throughout their career as a groom, providing support, advice and education to all working in the industry.

They are linked with KBIS British Equestrian Insurance with whome I have full cover with.

They’ve helped me get started and will continue to provide support for me and fellow freelance grooms. From help with forms if needed, legal advice right through to mental health support.
