Moorestown Early Dawn

Our very own Moorestown Early Dawn set sail and competed at Traditional of the Year show last week. He behaved impeccably at this massive show let alone it being his first time travelling on a boat! 😂

Kenny has really outdone himself this year having great results at both local and TGCA shows (a championship or 2 in there too) He’s Definitely a crowd favourite always being praised on his good looks and his expressive movement ❤️

He was a finalist at the prestigious TGCA Quest Youngstock championship performing like a professional in a ring of 24 horses in the summer heat (not used to it with the totally rubbish weather here in NI 🥵 )

I have loved producing this little man from a yearling and he gives 110% every time he’s out. He really is a little superstar with a very bright future ahead of him. 🌟 A yard favourite ❤️

Cannot forget about his new bestie Billy (SD Dreamking) who had a very successful time at TOYS with Sam, taking lots of ribbons and a reserve champion. This also being his first time competing there.

Two top quality cobs flying the flag for Northern Ireland 🌟

Kenny performed beautifully, taking 1st in the Traditional cob class and went on to take Inhand Champion 🏆 a great day for this boy getting some lovely comments from the judge 🥰

TGCA at Saintfield Show 2024

Back out and about again for the 2nd TGCA show of the year!

Lady Moorestown was up first with Brooke Erskine in the Yearling class taking 1st place. They then went on to take 1st in a very strong young handlers class and topping the day off with Reserve Junior Champion. Big well done to Brooke and thank you!

Congratulations to Lily and Rocky on your championship, you are such a great team!

Moorestown Early Dawn was out showing off just how beautiful he is in his Solid Colour Youngstock class taking second place 🥈 he received some brilliant comments from the judge which just made my day. He’s such a great little Man, getting better and better every time he’s out ❤️

I also got the pleasure of showing SD DreamKing (owned by Ted and Carol Crothers) where he did not disappoint. 1st Coloured Youngstock, Quest Champion, Greatest Gelding and to finish the day with TGCA Supreme Champion 🌟

Well done to everyone competing today! Big thank you to Saintfield Show for running TGCA classes and to Kim Neal for judging.

🌟 Balmoral 2024 🌟

Galway Girl (owned by Matthew Crothers ) performing beautifully as always taking 3rd place on a cracking day in the Private Drive under 138cm class on Friday. Big thanks to Sam for being groom for the day ☺️

⭐️ TGCA at Winter Woolies Finale ⭐️

With ever changing weather across the show, it was a successful day at the final Winter Woolies TGCA classes.

Moorestown Early Dawn and myself took 2nd in both a large 2/3 year old class and solid colour Youngstock. Love this wee man ❤️

Lady Moorestown teamed up once again with Brooke Erskine who took 1st place in the Yearling class and went on to take Youngstock Quest Reserve Champion. Congratulations Brooke and thank you! ☺️

Congratulations to Neil showing Applejack (owned by T&C Cobs) taking Youngstock Quest Champion. Congratulations also to Lynne with her own Ballywatt Summer, winning the Solid Colour Youngstock Class. SD Dreamking (owned by T&C Cobs) took 2nd place in the coloured Youngstock class. A big Thank you to Katie Scott for showing him!

It was a fantastic turnout of young traditional gypsy cobs in the biggest Youngstock classes for TGCA NI yet!

Brooke and Galway Girl took 3rd in the Senior Inhand and 4th in a large young handlers class. Great to see you back out with her again and big well done!

I also got reunited with Mr Vincent (owned by Sophie Browne), riding him in the TGCA under 14.2hh taking 2nd place at his first ridden show. Big congratulations to Sophie and Adam on your success with Pronto Tonto and Vin yesterday! Was great to see you all! 🤩

It was lovely to see Suzi and Bonnie out yesterday competing in the Youngstock classes, congratulations Suzi! She looks fantastic!

It was great to see these partnerships growing and it makes me so thankful that we were able to pair both Bonnie and Vincent to their loving Homes.

A big thank you to Trine, Paul Hart and the whole team at Winter Woolies for a fantastic day. We have thoroughly enjoyed your shows over the years. They have always been a great day out for our youngsters in gaining the experience they need for their careers.

Moorestown Empress doing me proud in the early hours of this morning. A lovely strong c**t 🥰 he’s a cheeky wee boy! She absolutely adores him and you would think she had done this before.

Lady Moorestown yesterday taking First Place in the Traditional Cob Yearling class and going on to take Reserve Champion Yearling. A great girl taking the whole day in her stride at just 7 months old on her first day out. Big thank you to Brooke Erskine for showing her, you did a fantastic job!

Ted Crothers’ Applejack, shown by Sam Crothers had a great day out too taking first place in the Traditional Cob Youngstock Class. 🌟

Chappy also made his show ring debut yesterday with Neil Erskine in the Traditional Cob Youngstock Class. Big thank you to Neil for showing him! Unfortunately just out of the placings but a big experience and lots learnt for this young chap ☺️
