*Update on fundraising for Moyo's surgery!

If I can raise another couple hundred, then the entropian surgery and after care meds would be covered, and the enucleation surgery and meds would be almost covered. (still not sure which surgery he's getting yet).

RIP Belisarius 🥺
This shy, sweet, traumatized boy died while I was transferring him from his cage to the transporter. He had gotten sick over the weekend and we had an emergency appointment, but it was too late. It could've been something he swallowed, or a blood clot, or an embolism...it's difficult when you never know the answer. This isn't the first time a foster has died in my arms, but I really hope it's the last.

This poor boy has Entropion, which means the eyelids are rolled backwards and his eyelashes are scraping against his right eye. It's SO irritating and painful.
I just didn't have the heart to put him back out, so he's be in a cage in my living room until I can schedule the surgery. It'll probably only be in February because my clinic is backed up, and also it's expensive (around$1000) so I'll have to save up. At least Moyo, which means heart in Swahili (for the little heart-shaped patch between his eyes), is starting to let me pet him!
Ce pauvre garçon a un entropion, ce qui signifie que les paupières sont enroulées vers l'arrière et que ses cils frottent contre son œil droit. C'est tellement irritant et douloureux.
Je n'ai tout simplement pas eu le courage de le remettre dehors, alors il sera dans une cage dans mon salon jusqu'à ce que je puisse planifier l'opération. Ce ne sera probablement qu'en février parce que ma clinique est débordée, et aussi c'est cher (environ 1000 $) donc je vais devoir économiser. Au moins Moyo, qui signifie cœur en swahili (pour le petit patch en forme de cœur entre ses yeux), commence à me laisser le flatter!

I really want him to find his forever family, he deserves to be loved by his forever humans."
