Adoptions are at an all time low the past few years. Rescuers need to get creative these days to get their dogs seen by the right people in this saturated market. A few good pictures and a basic bio just doesn’t cut it anymore for a lot of the bigger, “less desirable” breeds. A quick entry into Chat GPT gave us 12 different marketing options for those long-term residents. We would love to hear if you have tried a similar campaign and what the outcome was!

Let’s get your fosters mega-cute photos to help them find their furever homes and furever people for 2024!

Join us on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at San Pedro Springs Park in San Antonio - exact coordinates are 29.4476680, -98.5023729. We will be taking photos by the big oak tree on the southside of the Public Theater of San Antonio.

This event is completely free for fosters (even for returning fosters) and is open to all rescues and independent rescuers.
Owned pets are welcome with a suggested donation of $20 to go towards efforts to reduce and prevent an increase in the homeless pet population.

Our photoshoots are always on a first come, first serve basis and we encourage handlers to keep dogs within their vehicles when not being photographed to minimize any stress or risks of altercations. If you have multiple foster dogs we encourage bringing at least one additional handler so that each dog has its moment to shine. If you have treats, cute toys/bandanas those always help too. Please only bring completely vaccinated dogs. Expect each session to last about 10 minutes and keep in mind photos with the fosters/handlers in them always help with adoptability.

Please share and we hope to see you there!

This is why we will forever be advocates for proper rehoming protocols like charging a rehoming fee. The rehoming fee can reimburse the previous owners for any vetting they have provided the dog with and is one factor that will help ensure the dog goes to a loving home.

This is why spay and neuter has to be at the forefront of any solution to our overpopulation problem - true no kill starts with no birth! One of our big goals for 2024 is to help subsidize more low cost spay and neuter in rural areas of Texas but we need your help 🙏🏼 Please send any donation, big or small, to our PayPal [email protected] to help contribute to the next clinic.
