Let’s get your fosters mega-cute photos to help them find their furever homes and furever people for the holidays!
Join us on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 3:30 to 4:30pm at San Pedro Springs Park in San Antonio - exact coordinates are 29.4476680, -98.5023729. We will be taking photos by the big oak tree on the southside of the San Pedro Playhouse.
This event is completely free for fosters (even for returning fosters) and is open to all rescues and independent rescuers.
Owned pets are welcome with a suggested donation of $20 to go towards efforts to reduce and prevent an increase in the homeless pet population.
If you have treats, cute Holiday clothes, props, or bandanas those always help too. We would like for them to get festive photos in addition to regular photos so that they have a variety to choose from.
Please only bring completely vaccinated dogs, puppies are welcome if they are kept away from other dogs and held or placed on a blanket. Our photoshoots are always on a first come, first serve basis and we encourage handlers to keep dogs within their vehicles when not being photographed to minimize any stress or risks of altercations. If you have multiple foster dogs we encourage bringing at least one additional handler so that each dog has its moment to shine.
Expect each session to last about 10 minutes and keep in mind photos with the fosters/handlers in them always help with adoptability 😊 If you don’t feel comfortable being in the photos - let us know!
Please share and we hope to see you there 🐾
*Texas Rescue Network doesn’t intake dogs, we focus on prevention through providing education and resources to our community and by helping other organizations with their life-saving efforts.*
With many local fosters having dogs in the double digits in their homes and adoptions at an all time low, fostering and adopting our way out of this problem is feeling like a bleak solution.
Unfortunately the city of San Antonio is so swamped with calls they are not even able to respond to all of the critical bite cases that are reported, how can we expect for them to make time for dogs like these two?

Thousands of dogs are born on the streets every year in Texas and thousands of dogs will die on the streets.... Never knowing a warm bed, a human touch, or a life without starvation.
While so many of us are quick to blame the high kill shelters, the people of Texas are at the root
of the overpopulation problem. Both lack of awareness and denial of the issue have plagued our streets with strays.
Texas Rescue Network is taking an upstream approach to this issue through education,
community involvement, and subsidized spay/neuter and chipping events.
Ways you can help us be a part of the solution:
💚 Sponsor one of our future spay/neuter clinics or donate at www.texasrescuenetwork.org/donate
💚Volunteer at one of our Photos for Fosters events or at one of our school / community workshops as a Pup Protector
💚 Spread the word through likes, comments and shares
