Sabor arrived at our facility on 12/13/23 as an owner surrender.

Sabor is a shy, younger lady who enjoys running around her free roam room with her siblings and getting tasty snacks!

Sabor likes slow introductions and is hesitant of new people so will need someone who understands she needs to gain trust before receiving pets.

Saturday and Sunday are normal hours,
closed Mondays,
normal hours resume Tuesday

Broward County Animal Care & Adoption Center
is open Mondays for Adoptions only, 11am to 5pm

🎓🎓 STUDENTS - Did You Know?

👩‍🎓 Students can earn as many as 80 hours of community service in as little as one month by becoming an adoption ambassador!👩‍🎓

Adoption Ambassador:

The Foster Ambassador actively promotes the foster pet for adoption via social media platforms, flyers, text, email etc. If the student is successful in adopting the shelter pet within the month of fostering, we will award 80 hours of community service. If after the 30 days the student returns the foster pet to us, we will then just award the standard 40 hours of community service. Showing proof of promotion is not required only encouraged to be the ‘adoption ambassador’ of the shelter. Being the adoption ambassador also adheres with our social media policy as to treat all interactions with respect and kindness. 👩‍🎓

Reminder to all adopters - it’s up to YOU to register your pet’s microchip.
BCAC installs them, but *you* need to register them in order to keep your pet safe
and able to find its way back to you if it manages to escape.

UPDATE!!! 😻 LARRY and his siblings were ALL adopted on Day One!

Presenting Larry the lap cat - a sweet disposition and the first kitty to come a'runnin' when you enter the room. He just wants to be loved. He can be yours on Wednesday, April 21st !!

UPDATE: 😻😻😻😻. ALL FOUR KITTENS WERE ADOPTED THURS. APRIL 22nd 😻😻😻😻

I've just recently taken over fostering this sweet foursome. Two of the kittens already have adoption application HOLDs on them, and two are still available.
LARRY: This little fellow is the first one to run to the door to greet you when you enter the room. He's extremely gentle and a real sweet love bug, wanting to be near you. A cute tabby.
MISS MARY: Mary can't decide if she wants to be a tabby or a tortoiseshell kitty! Her markings are unusual with a very pretty caramel color splashed around. She loves to curl up next to my hip when it's TV time and loves to chase toys around the floor.
These two love to hang out together and would benefit by being adopted together if possible.
LARRY and MISS MARY will be available for adoption on Wednesday, April 21st.
