As many of you will know we started out to be a platform to make buying animals online safer, but we pivoted when the urgent dog ban was announced, as police are unable to identify a banned type dog, not only that owners have to carry 3 legal documents at all times otherwise risking having their dog impounded, we created our digital DogTag, the owner completes a profile for their dog enables police to tap or scan the digital DogTag, verify the information and send the owner on their way so instead of putting them through a stressful situation, we are now giving anyone with a banned type dog peace of mind whilst out walking your dog
We are also introducing a NFC Microchip as currently When vets scan a dog they get a long number and have to juggle 21 databases to unlock one microchip, risking our pet lives . We will have your pet’s vital information locked to their microchip – so it goes wherever they go! This means anyone entrusted to care for your pet can access their health records – whether that’s in the emergency vet on holiday, your local groomers or kennels.

Hello everyone, we’ve recently launched our Digital DogTag, but now we’re shifting our focus back to our platform, dedicated to make buying animals safer. However, this time, we’re placing a special emphasis on rescue charities.
If you work for a rescue organization or manage one, we want to hear from you! We’re offering the opportunity to create a profile for your organisation on our platform and list the dogs in need of a new forever home. Our goal is to give you a wider demographic reach, increasing the chances of rehoming more animals.

Legal Update: Judge Justice Linden has reviewed the papers and has not granted permission for the Judicial Review.
The team will be renewing the application for permission, and this will be served within the next 7 days.
Given the looming deadline for exemption applications tomorrow we like to stress the importance of adhering to the legislation.
In light of the current circumstances, the DBMLM and the official bully collective team are reluctantly exempting their dogs. However, it’s crucial to emphasise that they remain dedicated to the legal challenge. The barrister’s advice to renew the application reinforces their commitment to this cause. Overview on Buying, selling or transferring XL Bully dogs taken from Government Website 24th Dec 23.
From 31 December 2023 it will be illegal to rehome, sell, buy, gift or transfer ownership of an XL Bully dog to another person.
Owners who purchased a puppy before 31 December 2023, which is less than 8 weeks old at that point, will be able to collect it legally when it’s 8 weeks old.
If you are concerned that someone is trying to sell you a XL Bully after this date, visit the Petfished website to find out how to spot the signs of a deceitful pet seller.

Overview on Breeding XL Bully dogs taken from Government Website 22 Dec 23.
It will be a criminal offence to breed XL Bully dogs from 31 December 2023. This includes:
breeding from an XL Bully dog
allowing for an XL Bully dog to be bred from any combination of other dogs
It will not be an offence to allow a litter of puppies that have already been conceived to be born. If the puppies are born after 31 December 2023, it will be an offence to sell them or to rehome them.
Defra recommends breeders should stop all XL Bully breeding activity now as it will be a criminal offence to sell, transfer, exchange, gift or advertise these dogs from 31 December 2023.
There isn’t much time now until the ban on selling comes into force to allow puppies that were bred before this legislation was introduced to be legally sold. Puppies must not be sold before they are 8 weeks old.
Owners who purchased a puppy before 31 December 2023, which is less than 8 weeks old at that point, will be able to collect it legally when it’s 8 weeks old.

Overview on keeping an XL Bully dog taken from Government Website 24 Dec 23.
To keep an XL Bully dog it must be:
Microchipped
Kept on a lead and muzzle at all times when in public
Kept in a secure place so it cant escape
Be neutered
As the owner you must also
Be over 16 years old
Have 3rd party public liability insurance against your dog injuring other people.
Be able to show your 3 documents, Insurance, neutering and exemption certificates when asked by the police or a council dog warden, either at the time or within 5 days. You need to keep these documents safe. This is where our dogtag will help you as your documents can be uploaded to the dogtag so you have them at all times with the stress of losing them and giving you peace of mind whilst out walking your dog preventing stress on both you and your dog.

Overview on Neutering an XL Bully dog taken from Government Website 22 Dec 23.
You must arrange to have your XL Bully dog neutered through castration in the case of a male dog, or through spaying in the case of a female dog.
2 dates are important.
less than 1 year old on 31 January 2024, it must be neutered by 31 December 2024
older than 1 year old on 31 January 2024, it must be neutered by 30 June 2024
Defra recommend having your dog neutered as soon as possible so that you meet these deadlines.
Once your XL Bully dog has been neutered you and your vet will need to fill in the confirmation of neutering form. Your vet should then return the form to Defra.
If you dog has already been neutered, the vet may need to check this or confirm with another vets first if it was done at a different practice.
If the vet is unable to return the form, the owner of the dog can return it to Defra. There may be a fee to be paid to the vet for to do this
