This week I returned from hosting a very fulfilling liberty clinic in AZ. I’ve been blessed to be encouraged to return time after time to share everything I can with those awesome, curious horsey people about connecting with these special creatures. Scheduling these weekend events during the school year most certainly helps scratch my equine itch.
At home, my horse involvement has been somewhat more limited. I’ve been investing time in this beautiful growing family and this growing career in the school. Both pursuits present the right amount of challenges, learning, and incredible fulfillment. Adrienne Leinenbach has been a huge supporter of mine and I’m lucky we’re a team for life. ❤️
Once the end of the school year rolls around, my focus will shift from family and education to family and horses. I’ll share progress on a few equine activities and certifications I’ve been eagerly waiting to pursue and achieve.
I’ll also begin opening up portions of my schedule to put on some events and come visit some of those people who think some some of my input might be what they and their horses need to grow together.
In the meantime, I want to call out a few people who I’ve seen doing some awesome things out there in the horse world.
Sabine Brelin and the AZ crew for inviting me out for some great connections with their horses.
Wendi Blanton Schober for all of the growth she’s been showing in her horsemanship and liberty journey. Her horse Hammy and all of the horses she’s been partnering with have shown considerable growth. And of course I appreciate her loving on Declan while she’s there. Declan and Hammy are even pasture roomies.
Laura Hamrin for boarding Declan, taking such good care of him, and for her patience and understanding in my longer absences during the school year.
Patrick Sullivan and Avery Sullivan have been making huge strides in their advancement and broadcast of how far the horse and human connect can really go. They’re making huge impacts with their Yelo program. And of course a big thank you goes to them for getting the ball rolling for me. They’re forever an inspiration to me.
Jake Gelinas has been making leaps and bounds in growing his horsemanship platform. He’s definitely taking in participants for his training days and always willing to speak to potential new clients.
Sarah Bryson has been doing great work over at her facility in Princeton, TX. She’s got a wonderful group of students there and she was gracious enough to host myself and Declan for an event last year. If you’re in that area and looking for some great horsemanship and liberty training, definitely look her up!
Dana Freeman and Rob Freeman for their rescue work and their loving partnership with their horse Sweetpea. The growth there has been phenomenal.
Michelle Peterson has been making strides with her horses in a deeply spiritual space and been opening up opportunities for both horses and humans to let go and be their most authentic selves.
Dana Croschere and Krisanna Sexton have put together a deeply personal piece of work about horses. For sure check out the Rescued Hearts Film
Tori Constantine has been harnessing the true power of connection with her liberty mustang and can teach you how to make those leaps with her liberty foundations course.
And last but certainly not least is Adrienne. She not only supports my passions, but is always seeking to learn and grow in her own horsemanship. Will we be seeing an addition of another horse in the family someday? Will we be teaming up in some very unique and valuable ways to help horses and humans? I suppose you’ll have to wait and see…
There are SO many others out there as well! It’s awesome to see all of these people and program making such a positive impact on our equine partners. I deeply apologize to those I haven’t mentioned that are putting in the real work and pursuit of their own growth as human beings.
ALL of that to say, I’ve been quiet, yes. But I’ve been watching, I’ve been listening, I’ve been learning, and I’m eager to dive back into horses much more substantially in May. See you soon.
