so I thought I would start a Frequently Asked Questions post.
Question:
Is Rainey's Recipe - Dog Food
raw food?
Answer:
No! Rainey's Recipe is cooked in the texture of a meat loaf and cut into portions. It has all natural whole foods that are locally sourced ingredients. I make it fresh and deliver it to your house the next day in recyclable, dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe containers. Two weeks later I deliver the next 15 days and collect your empty containers to reuse.
No waste! No Preservatives! No additives! Most of all your dog will love it! If you have any questions let me know and I will put on my FAQ post.

Zero-waste reusable & refillable containers that are environmentally conscious!

Thanks Hayley Masters for pointing out that Rainey's Recipe is delivered in containers that are recyclable, freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe. When you receive your second delivery, I will pick up your empty containers so that they can be used again!!

It’s Official!!!
After years of encouragement and prodding from friends who knew our amazing dog Rainey and saw how healthy and happy, she was, Rainey’s Recipe is now a business, offering the same home cooked, whole food, locally sourced, dog food that Rainey ate during the 15 years we had the privilege of being with her. In 2003, we adopted Rainey, a one-year-old, 85-pound Shepherd/Newfie cross from our local SPCA. She was strong-willed, smart, beautiful and had a great disposition. Despite feeding her premium kibble, she continually experienced recurrent ear infections and skin irritations over the next 9 – 12 months. After much research and trials, we started her on a human grade cooked food that provided all the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that she would need to live an active lifestyle. Almost immediately after starting her on this all-natural diet we saw some amazing results. Her ear infections cleared up, her skin irritations disappeared, and her coat was amazing. She also had way more energy, was leaner, stronger, and more calm and content. As a bonus, she loved the taste and would devour the food as soon as it was placed in her bowl, unlike the kibble which she would graze on all day.
After seeing the change in Rainey, several of our friends with dogs asked for our recipe and started feeding it to their dogs. All saw dramatic positive changes in their dogs and kept them on it for their entire lives. Over the years, they have encouraged us to make and sell the food, knowing the benefits it could bring to dogs of every size and breed. So, I have decided to make and provide all natural, 100 % human grade dog food, free from preservatives and additives, fresh cooked in my home. The meals are divided into portions suitable to the weight and activity level of your dog and are hand delivered anywhere in Oro-Medonte on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
