Our little guy Astro was placed in late January with long-time Sheltie-lovers Kirk and Teri. He immediately took to them as friends so we know he's going to enjoy his new home!

Mr. Darcy (left) was so great, his NSR foster family couldn't bear to let him go! He's going to stay in his new home with Barry and Stephanie and his new siblings, NSR alum Tink (ex-Kinsley) (middle) and Miri (floor). He already loves his whole family (and they love him) so it's going to be wonderful!

We here at Nebraska Sheltie Rescue have been dealing with multiple human family emergencies and illnesses over the past few months, so please forgive our sparse updates and posts. We are hoping that things will calm down after the first of the year. And hoping that saying the word calm isn't the equivalent of those in health care saying the Q WORD. If you know you know!

We also have not had any time to take holiday themed photos of our Shelties. Which is always fun. So we will just have to send you all a generic Happy Holidays. Whatever you celebrate, have a great season!

Brothers Alex and Oliver were placed with Terry yesterday. They immediately started getting along with their new siblings, Oakley (pictured) and Flash in their great big yard! They are going to be happy doggies!

Trucker joined long time sheltie-lovers Vince and Stephanie in his new forever home today! He was a little nervous at first but started exploring after a bit. He is looking forward to getting to know his loving new family!

UPDATE!!! Lacie has been found!!! We love a happy ending!

Lacie is visiting from out of town so is not familiar with the area.

UPDATE: REUNITED!! Lacie is home safe & sound after 2 days, 18 hours :)

Please spread the word for this lost dog. Lacie was LOST on November 27, 2024 in Omaha, NE 68124 near Valley st

We have a new little guy!

Astro came to us as an owner surrender this week. He's cuddly and affectionate but active and VERY small! He needs to go through the process of being neutered and get all his health checkups but he will be available to be a loving addition to someone's home very soon!

Monday was neuter day for Darcy. He's a pretty active guy and could get around the inflatable donut, so he gets to wear the satellite dish. But he is adjusting and recovering well!

Yesterday was Trucker's dental day. As expected, he had to have a full mouth extraction. He spent the afternoon at NSR central until we could drive him back to his foster home. Poor guy was drooling blood and looked miserable. But guess what? Reports are this morning he is alert and eager to eat! Maybe more so than usual! Perhaps getting rid of a mouth full of rotten teeth is good for the appetite!
