Today is a really hard day. This morning, we lost Cameron. Yesterday, he suddenly lost a lot of weight, and wasn't acting himself, but it was a shock to loose him so fast. Cameron was always a strong, healthy, big boy, our best breeder male, and a dear friend. He was one of the friendliest gerbils we have ever owned, and we could always turn to him for comfort. We would call him "the bird gerbil'' because he would sit perched on our arms and shoulders like a little bird. He was the best Christmas present we have ever received. He was born on Christmas day, and we are so thankful that we were able to spend his 1st birthday with him. He was such a blessing while he was with us. Cameron passed peacefully with Harmoney at his side, some of his kiddos in nearby cages giving him support, and knowing we all loved him dearly. We love you so much sweet boy and will miss your sparkly, sweet face when we say hi to your wife and kiddos. We are so so grateful for the year and a half we got to spend with you Cam. Love you always darling. We will include a video of Cameron and Harmoney helping us with an adorable example of "the mug trick" We really hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
