Bambi (4.5yo M) is still looking for his forever home. He was returned to us by his adopter several months ago and we’ve had absolutely no one interested in this sweet man. He is not fond of other cats but he is very intelligent, cuddly and playful and absolutely great with people. This handsome man is in need of a new home as his family had to leave the country and were unable to bring him with. He’s 4yrs4mo old. He is very affectionate and smart and curious. He doesn’t get along well with other cats so a home to himself is ideal. He has a cute little voice but isn’t too chatty. He’s very tidy with his toileting. Now what is this man’s name? Well unfortunately he’s had multiple owners who haven’t been able to hold onto him so he has a few (bambi, Chang, pashmak) but he responds best to Bambi. We’re happy to announce that we will be sponsoring this little one and it’s human, a hero volunteering in Ukraine through protectavolunteer.com. There are many cats on the frontlines fighting alongside their human comrades. Cats in Ukraine are in desperate need of help. Just this week a shelter in Odessa was hit and caught fire. We welcome anyone to join us sponsoring volunteers.

Huge thanks to Homes Alive Pets on Hwy 97 for donating several boxes of treats for our kitties. Despite not doing our own adoptions of late, we are still transporting and doing short term fostering for many cats and kittens from Alberta. We will be sharing this kind donation with a few of our amazing partner rescues as it is beyond what we can use at this time.

Although our rescue has been taking a bit of a pause for mental health we took in this beautiful soul today. Buster here is a prime example of why you should microchip or tattoo your pets. He went missing about 2-3yrs ago and miraculously was found and brought to us. We took him in for a quick check up and some meds and this lucky guy was reunited with his kitty friends and humans. He was located a couple hours walk from home and on the opposite side of the lake and likely would have never found his family without our vet tracing his tattoo. Not all missing cats make it back home safely and we always recommend keeping cats indoors unless in an enclosed catio or on a harness.

Butterfly is still looking for her forever home. This sweet muffin loves to cuddle in bed and is determined to figure out how toilet flushing works. She’s very well behaved and calm and loves to lay on your lap while you watch TV. She is currently in Kelowna and if you’d like to meet her please contact us.

One of our amazing FIP warriors, Madeleine and her brother went home today. These two have been through thick and thin together. They came in with mites, worms, mild ringworm, and FCOV. Maddy later developed effusive and ocular FIP and underwent treatment. Maddy nearly died at the start of her treatment but managed to pull through and has been deemed cured of FIP. Maxime stayed with us as his emotional support was critical for Maddy and they had already developed a strong bond. Maxime and her caught COVID-19 earlier this year from their foster and unfortunately Maxime became very sick and nearly died as well. With help from our incredible vets both distant and local these two get to live out their lives with their wonderful adoptive family. FIP is curable, but there is a lack of awareness of treatment options and simply a complete lack of resources for most rescues. We encourage anyone who plans to get a cat under 1yo especially to look up the signs of FIP as this disease is most prevalent in kittens. Early diagnosis is key to saving their lives.

Adoption event tomorrow at peachland Bosleys from 1-3pm. Maddy and Maxime are a bonded pair ~1yr old. Maddy had FIP and underwent treatment and has been since cured. She is a bit shy at first but loves to cuddle when she warms up to you. Her brother Maxime is extremely outgoing, chatty and demands cuddles. If you don’t pet him, he will pet himself on you. Both must go together and ideally to an experienced owner.

Small Orange is a kitty with a lot on his mind - and he'll tell you all about it! He loves to explore, and recently discovered that the door stopper makes an awesome toy. Fortunately for us, he got bored of it quickly!

Small Orange was born with flat-chested kitten syndrome. While his chest is no longer flat, he does have a bit of residual pectus excavatum that his vet is hoping he'll also grow out of. It doesn't slow him down one bit - if anything, he seems to have overheard the vet saying not to squeeze him, as he does his best to sneak out of the kitten room each time we visit. 🙃

Adoption event Saturday October 23rd @ Bosleys in Peachland from 1-3pm. Polar Bear is still looking for her forever home. She is very lovely and enjoys pets and teaser toys. She has some of the most beautiful eyes and quite the quiet subdued personality. She has not found her home yet as gets very fearful in cages or around other animals and hasn’t been able to stay in petstores. She will need a family with absolutely no other pets except maybe fish or an ant farm. She is around a year old and has been raised indoor-only.

Adoption Event Saturday October 23 from 1-3pm @ Bosleys in Peachland. These first 2 handsome guys are Bean and Bee. These 5mo boys are incredibly lovey. Bee will come up to you and demand hugs by putting his paws around your face and he has a bad habit of kissing you by biting your nose when he gets extremely happy. Bean loves cuddles too but isn’t quite so pushy about it. Both boys love to play and will need a companion who can give them lots of attention or another pet to play with. They lost their mom around 1wk old and were bottle fed since then. They are extremely outgoing and tolerant of rough play. Bean is the lighter orange classic tabby and Bee is the darker marbled tabby.

Sweet little Sabrina is still looking for her forever home! She loves to run and explore, and is first to chase after a new toy! She's just as cuddly as she is playful, and is happy to climb into your lap for cuddles.

Kikyo is a little lady that's full of sass! She loves to play and explore. She gets along well with other kitties for the most part, but sometimes gets a little bit hissy when she's feeling overwhelmed. She's full of purrs and is happy to snuggle up with her friends. She is 14 weeks old and is currently located in Grande Prairie, but hopes to travel to BC soon! In BC and interested in Kikyo? Apply to pre-adopt her today!

Fluff is a handsome little guy that loves to hang out with his kitty friends and be part of the action! He has very plush fur and is as cuddly as he is curious. He is 14 weeks old, and is currently available for adoption!
