Can you believe we’ve had NOOOO applications for this sweet girl?! 😭💔

Seriously… HOW?! Because if you met Katniss, you’d understand why we adore her. 🥹💕

Katniss is sweet, funny, loving, and just an absolute joy. She has the kind of personality that makes you smile, and she loves her people BIG. She’s also great with other animals and has been fostered with a small child, so she’s already proven that she can happily be part of a family.

And then there’s Katniss’ favorite hobby…

🐿️ CHASING SQUIRRELS. 😂

This girl LOVES a good squirrel chase! So much so that her forever home will need a 6-foot fenced yard because apparently a squirrel is enough motivation to test her jumping skills. 😂

She’s loving. She’s playful. She’s funny. She’s affectionate. She’s good with kids and other animals.

And yet… ZERO applications.

We genuinely cannot understand how this sweet girl is still waiting for her forever family. 💔

Katniss deserves someone who will appreciate her goofy personality, let her chase squirrels to her heart’s content, and love her as much as her foster family does.

🐾 HER PUPPIES FOUND THEIR HOMES… NOW IT’S KATNISS’ TURN! 🐾

Katniss spent her time being an amazing mama, and now all of her puppies have found their forever families. ❤️ But this sweet girl is still waiting for someone to choose her.

And honestly? They’re going to be getting one AMAZING dog. 🥹

Katniss has been an absolute dream in foster. She has had minimal accidents and continues to improve every day.

When she’s unattended, she does best in her crate because this girl can get a little mischievous when given the opportunity. 😂 Trash, plants, mail… apparently everything is worth investigating!

But overall? She has been the perfect dog. 💕 She’s sweet, gentle, affectionate, and ready to finally have a home of her own.

Her babies got their happy endings. Now it’s Mama Katniss’ turn. 🏡❤️

This sweet little girl is thriving and is now looking for her furEVER home! ❤️

Rue is learning her basic commands and working hard on potty training. She is the sweetest baby and has so much love to give! She loves jumping into your arms, being held, giving lots of kisses, and even giving adorable little headbutts. 🥰

Rue is great with other dogs and cats, making her a wonderful addition to the right family! She is a loving, happy girl who is ready to find a family of her very own.

🐾 MEET JASPER 🐾

Jasper is not your typical adoption story.

He is an adult Cockapoo with behavioral challenges, but underneath his fear and anxiety is a sweet boy who desperately wants to feel safe and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. ❤️

Jasper is a very nervous and sensitive dog who needs an experienced adopter willing to be patient, move slowly, and continue helping him build confidence. He has fear-based aggression and reactivity, so his new family must understand his behavior and be committed to working with him rather than expecting him to immediately adjust.

The good news? Jasper has been making progress. His separation anxiety has improved, and he is doing AMAZING with housetraining. He has not had a single accident in his foster home! He is also crate trained, although he will initially bark when his person leaves.

Jasper can bark at noises and may be reactive toward other dogs while on leash. He is currently taking Prozac and gabapentin to help manage his anxiety.

🏡 Jasper’s ideal home:
• Experienced with nervous, reactive, or behaviorally challenged dogs
• No children
• Fenced-in yard required
• A home rather than an apartment would likely be best due to his reactivity
• Someone willing to continue behavioral training and confidence building
• Someone who understands that trust takes time

Jasper has not shown any signs of food aggression, but because of his fear-based aggression, he does need to be muzzled at the veterinarian for everyone’s safety.

Because Jasper is extremely sensitive, his adoption will require slow introductions and a minimum two-week shutdown period. This is mandatory. His new family will need to give him time to decompress and adjust without overwhelming him.

But here’s the part we don’t want you to miss. ❤️

Once Jasper starts to trust you, you get to see the dog underneath all that fear.

He loves being right next to his person, curling up on the couch and being a total couch potato. And when he’s feeling comfortable? He LOVES to play fetch. 🎾

Jasper isn’t going to be the right dog for everyone, and that’s okay.

We’re looking for the right person for him. Someone who sees a scared dog who needs help, not a “bad” dog. Someone who is willing to celebrate the little victories, respect his boundaries, and give him the time he needs to become the confident dog we know is in there.

Jasper has already come a long way. Now he needs someone willing to continue that journey with him. ❤️

Primrose is a 16-week-old Pit Bull puppy and the daughter of our sweet mama Katniss. She and her sister, Rue, came into rescue with their mom and are now ready to find forever families of their own!

Primrose is incredibly sweet, playful, curious, and eager to explore. She loves to play, investigate her surroundings, and spend time with her people. She has the sweetest personality and is always ready for some fun!

Like any puppy, Primrose is still learning! She is working on basic commands and housetraining and will need a family who is willing to continue helping her learn and grow.

Rue is the daughter of our sweet mama Katniss and the sister of Primrose. These girls came into rescue with their mom and are now ready to start the next chapter of their lives in forever homes!

Rue is SUPERRRR SWEET, playful, curious, and loves to explore. She is always ready to investigate something new, play with her people, or simply soak up some attention. ❤️

Rue is still learning all about being a good puppy. She is working on basic commands and housetraining and will need her forever family to continue working with her using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.

If you are looking for the sweetest dog you will ever meet, look no further. 🥹

Katniss is a 2-year-old Pit Bull who came into rescue with her two puppies. She was an amazing mama, and now that her babies are ready for their own homes, it’s finally Katniss’s turn to be spoiled.

And this girl is PERFECT. ❤️

Katniss is quite small in stature, but weighs around 45 lbs and is the perfect size for someone looking for a sturdy but compact cuddle buddy. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, cuddly, and absolutely loves being loved. She wants nothing more than to be close to her people and soak up all the attention she can get.

Katniss is doing wonderfully with potty training. She will cry when she needs to go outside and will hold it for as long as she can, although accidents are possible if she isn’t taken out in time.

On walks, she may pull when she sees people or children because she gets SO excited to meet them and get some love. She truly believes everyone she sees is her new best friend. 😂❤️

She also believes that anything left on the table is potentially her dinner, so her new family will need to keep food out of reach. 😉

Katniss may cry a little when you leave because she loves her people, but she is not a constant barker or overly vocal dog.

She is just an all-around amazing girl who deserves a family that will love her as much as she loves them.

After spending her time taking care of her puppies, it’s time for Katniss to finally be someone’s spoiled baby. ❤️

Mom and the puppies have officially arrived safely in Baltimore!

They are now getting settled in and enjoying some much-needed rest after their journey. We’re so happy to have them safely here and look forward to sharing updates as they continue to settle in.

Thank you to everyone who helped make their journey to safety possible. It truly takes a village.

Stay tuned for updates on Mom and the puppies as they begin their next chapter and get closer to finding their forever homes.
