A good day at the office for the girls today!! Ella and Ziggy, our amazing liveries came for their very first outing and jumped absolutely fantastic. We love watching Ella progress, when she first came to us she said “I just want to do dressage and have fun” Well there’s no stopping you now!!! Millie and Annie are back, the partnership keeps getting better and better. We are all looking forward to seeing what 2022 holds for them. What a way to see the new year in! Happy new year everyone from the Winnie Equestrian team 🐴❤️

Just look at Molly 😍 16.1hh, 8 years old, full Irish draught. She is the most laid back horse about, leg in each corner. No stable vices or health issues. She doesn’t get strong or stressed. Well this certainly brought a tear to my eye. This is Frodo who I sold last year to his lovely family in Dorset. They have only gone and won the British Connemara Pony Championships. This is the lad who I got qualified for Badminton grassroots on. Keep up the good work Josie Spring and give the legend a big pat from me 🤩🥇

So today we headed to Frickley Park Horse Trails with Atlanta SM in the BE80. Coming home with 9th we are all so pleased with this little horse. Leading the way after dressage with a 28.5. Going into the showjumping coming away with 2 down but we still were pleased the way she’s improving every time she gets out. Then onto the cross country, we aimed for a confident clear and that’s just what we got! Clear cross country picking up some time penalties for going too slow but that was the least of our worries because we are all so proud with how this horses confidence just keeps getting bigger and bigger! Now to get entered for our last one of the season then get out showjumping through the winter. We are really looking forward to watching this horse grow into something special 🤩

We are so impressed with how 4 yrs old Knickerbocker Glory is coming on owned by Bev Lunn! She’s really taking everything in her own stride and is an absolute pleasure to ride 😊

Well our training is paying off, today we put it all into practice. Millie had an amazing clear in the 85cm coming 4th! She is really starting to bond with Annie and find her buttons. Then the pressure was on for Bradley and Dinger in the 95cm, with massive improvements we got a lovely clear round not racing for the clock getting 5th! Looking forward to next weekend for Northallerton with Schrodinger in the BE100 on the Saturday with Bradley and then Atlanta SM in their second BE80 on Sunday with Millie. Bring it on 😊👌

We’ve had a fabulous couple of days up north training with Robert Shields. Really loved seeing the progression over the three days and we are now looking forward to getting out competing 😊

It’s been a busy weekend here at Winnie Equestrian with us being out eventing with Atlanta SM and Schrodinger. It was an absolute pleasure running round the lovely Frickley Parkland. Millie and Annie starting on the Saturday doing their first ever BE80. Proud doesn’t come close! Getting a 34.5% in their first ever dressage test together is phenomenal! Then to go into the showjumping just rolling two unlucky poles. Yes it wasn’t the best on paper but that’s the first one out of the way and we go again onto the next. Millie has now got the eventing bug too! Then a quick turn around in the wagon on Saturday night and we were back on Sunday with Bradley and Schrodinger in the BE100! Dinger felt absolutely amazing in the dressage, scoring a 27.5%, I was over the moon. Walking out the dressage and the steward to turn round and say “that was a pleasure to watch” made us all really proud as it’s not been an easy ride to get into the 20’s. Going into the Showjumping in the lead it was all to play for. We knew it wouldn’t be a walk in the park as we all know the jumping phases at Frickley are not easy. Coming out of the showjumping with 9 faults pushed us down to 6th so going into the cross country I just wanted to get round and come home safe. It was probably the biggest cross country we’ve done to date! Dinger gave me an amazing feeling absolutely eating up the big combinations. I was absolutely thrilled to come away with 9th in our 3rd BE100! We are really looking forward to finishing this season with these two special horses! Thank you to our fan club who came to support, it was amazing to see you all!

Good trip out to Port Royal today! Dinger jumped really well, with plans to get out showjumping in the run up to our next BE100. Millie and Annie had a good session, didn’t manage to get any videos due to not having enough hands! We love getting our horses out to different training venues to get lots of practice in ready to be out competing again 😊🐴
