We owe a huge thank you to our community who supported our partner, The Street Dog Coalition, by donating and spreading awareness about SDC’s mission this past Giving Tuesday.

We asked The Street Dog Coalition for one thing they would like our community to know about their work:

“We believe that no one should have to choose between caring for themselves and caring for their pets. Our mission is to provide free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness, ensuring that these beloved animals receive the care they deserve.”

Partnering with The Street Dog Coalition is truly an honor, and we’re just getting started.

Together, we’ll keep supporting pets and their people, preserving the human-animal bond in our communities. Be sure to follow The Street Dog Coalition on social media for more updates!

Over the years, The Street Dog Coalition and the ElleVet Project have provided free veterinary care to thousands of pets of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This Giving Tuesday, join us in supporting SDC's mission by following the Street Dog Coalition on social media, volunteering at a local street clinic, or making a donation. Visit www.thestreetdogcoalition.org/how-to-help to donate or learn more.

$25 covers vaccines, de-worming, and a month of flea/tick/heartworm prevention for a pet.

$50 enables microchip implantation and registration for up to six pets.

$100 provides compassionate end-of-life care for one pet.

Larger donations cover spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm treatment for several pets a year.

Behind each SDC clinic, there’s someone organizing veterinarians and support staff, coordinating locations, and gathering the lifesaving supplies needed. SDC hosts multiple clinics across the country each week, bringing critical care to pets who need it most.

We’ve seen the power of the human-animal bond firsthand and know how essential it is to protect these relationships. This Giving Tuesday, we hope you’ll consider supporting The Street Dog Coalition and strengthening their impact nationwide.

Our partner, The Street Dog Coalition, hosts several pop-up clinics weekly across the US for pets of people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. During these clinics, pet owners receive a range of basic medical care services from vaccinations to spay-neuter vouchers. Beyond providing free veterinary care, SDC reduces the risk/spread of zoonotic diseases and prevents flea, tick, and heartworm outbreaks.

With the help of the ElleVet Project’s RV, The Street Dog Coalition is more mobile than ever, meeting people without access to transportation where they are.

In August, the team visited Asheville, North Carolina. See the pictures below to get a glimpse of SDC’s incredible work in action!

The Street Dog Coalition and The ElleVet Project have served thousands of pets whose owners are facing homelessness over the years. Meet Chris, who attended a SDC clinic in Fort Collins, Colorado.

After his military service, Chris was experiencing PTSD. His dog, Precious, is who he credits for changing his life. Thanks to SDC, Precious received the essential veterinary care she needed. With Precious by his side, Chris found employment and now shares a safe home with her and his wife.

Chris’s journey demonstrates the power of the human-animal bond and the role we play in supporting these relationships. It’s an honor to work alongside The Street Dog Coalition to help people like Chris access the resources they need to lead fulfilling lives with their pets beside them.

In 2020, ElleVet Sciences launched The ElleVet Project, a nonprofit providing free, high-quality preventative and emergency medical care to pets of people experiencing homelessness.

With a shared vision that all pets and people deserve care, The ElleVet Project became a legacy sponsor of The Street Dog Coalition (SDC). Earlier this year, we handed the keys to the ElleVet Project’s RV over to The Street Dog Coalition. SDC currently has Street Teams in 60+ cities, and they can now reach rural areas where limited accessibility often prevents pets from getting care. With this partnership, we can help reach even more pets—and people—in need.

Learn more about SDC by visiting www.thestreetdogcoalition.org and stay tuned for more updates from the road. We are so grateful to partner with this incredible organization!
