The ElleVet Project provides free veterinary care to pets of the homeless and unhoused. Meet some of the thousands of pets and people we helped in 2022 with our year end video. Your tax deductible donation make it all possible and there is still time to donate for tax year 2022. Thank you all💜
We’ve seen some heartbreaking cases on the ElleVet Project but this case might be the most heartbreaking of all. It made our veterinarians and staff cry to see what this poor dog had suffered and how sweet he still is. Meet Quinn. We are in Montana and Quinn came to our van as a stray, most likely looking for help. Upon examination we found that he had at least 50 porcupine quills embedded, puncture wounds from being attacked by another animal and his tail had been cut off. He had wounds and skin infections and through all of this he remained sweet and affectionate, not making a peep during his exam. We sprang into action and got him sedated and our amazing veterinarian got out all the quills and treated his wounds. He will be staying with us on the van-this guy will never again know pain and abuse. We will find him his happy ending💜
Chihuahua puppies at ElleVet Project
These adorable puppies were born at a homeless shelter in Santa Ana where they live with their owner and their (very protective) chihuahua parents! We were thankful to set this litter up for success in life. We dewormed and vaccinated them and administered flea and tick preventative.
We also helped the owner find resources to spay and neuter her pets. Education and ongoing support are important parts of our mission
We are at Skid Row providing free veterinary care for pets of the homeless. We will be at @unionrescuemission from 10am-2pm today and tomorrow.

Driving through fires to get to our next stop in Bakersfield. It’s incredible seeing the firefighters in full gear in temperatures well over 100 degrees fighting fires on this 4th of July. #heroes
