For those of you glued to Crufts yesterday, you will have seen Trevor Cooper the dog law expert talking about XL bullies and the latest legislation. If you have an interest in all matters related to dog law, you can meet and hear him first hand at his Dog Law Seminar on 19 October at North Hall Loxwood. For only £20 you have 3 hours of presentations and Q&A - topics are shown on the leaflet below. For anyone who is a dog care business, breeder, vet, trainer, groomer, dog walker or owner this seminar is a must-have event. Booking information is on the leaflet. Or follow this link. https://www.doglawsos.co.uk/product/what-every-dog-owner-needs-to-know-21/
There is free parking on-site with a small field next door. Well behaved dogs can come into the hall, on leads please. We will have free tea and coffee at the break, plus cakes to buy. I hope you can join us.

Today is Whippet Day. I have had the good fortune to have three whippets and two whippet x Bedlingtons in my life. They are my most favourite breed and life would not be the same without one. Here are some whippety pics and some of my collection of sighthound-themed pieces.

It's been a while, but how does anyone feel about a Christmas on-line show? As always, we will spoil you with beautiful rosettes. Or is the COL crisis meaning that it would be hard to spare the money to enter?
Let me know what you think.

Is anyone interested in a Coronation themed dog show? I am fundraising to pay a vet's bill for a dog who needs help. It will cost around £1,500 for the dog to have the op which the owners simply don't have. I have been helping them with costs, but can't really afford to pay the whole sum. I was thinking a fun, Royal-themed show might be popular. As always, with super special rosettes. Please put Count Me In in the comment, if you might be interested. I will provide more detail about where the funds will be spent on a future post.

A new online dog show raising funds for a pet food bank

YOUR VIEWS ARE SOUGHT!
Hello everyone. I wanted to do an opinion poll but I can't find the tool on here, but I am interested to know what you all think. Please can you indicate by typing the letter in your comment of the option you would prefer/support. I would like to run another online show but wonder how people feel about trying to make it a bit cheaper to enter.

Option A - entry fee remain at £2 per entry with a proper rosette.

Option B - pay a smaller fee of £1 per entry but have a digital rosette - ie one that is designed as a graphic/certificate that you can download and print at your end.

Option C - I am not interested in entering online shows right now.

CANCELLED. I am very sorry to say that the Vintage Doggy Tea Party is cancelled due to slow ticket sales. The cost of living crisis has no doubt played a part in making it hard for people to afford special treats. I will instead be running an online show to raise funds for Arundawn. Thank you to those who have supported a sponsors, donors or buying tickets. Ticket refunds have been sent to those who paid using Paypal.

The Vintage Doggy Tea Party and Show will take place on Saturday 22 October at Loxwood North Hall. The event combines a fun dog show, with lovely afternoon tea for hounds and humans. Plus fun games such as sausage bobbing and tennis ball tombola! Each dog takes home a goody bag. This is a ticketed event, as we have to manage catering numbers and access to the hall. The event is in aid of Arundawn Dog Rescue. There will also be a Silent Auction of amazing items on the day. Please save the date, tickets will be on sale soon.

COMING SOON: the return of THE VINTAGE DOGGY TEA PARTY. This will be in October at the Loxwood North Hall, W Sussex. This is a LIVE event combining a fun dog show, teas for hounds and humans, games, silent auction and special goody bags for all entrants. This is a ticketed event, as we have to manage numbers inside the hall if we have a wet day. There is loads of room to park, lots of grassy areas for the show if dry and for exercise. We promise a delicious tea, lots of time to socialise and all to raise funds for Arundawn Dog Rescue. Tickets include tea for one human and hound, entry into all show classes and goody bag. There will be an extra per head charge for further dogs and accompanying partners/children. Message me if you are interested in receiving an invitation to this unique event.

Helping rescue dogs

With dog shows cancelled and rescues struggling for funds, I have decided to set up a fun-d-raising on-line dog show. There will be several categories and each will have rosettes to four places and hopefully, a goody bag for each class winner. The show will be independently judged by our experienced judges and everyone can enjoy seeing pictures of lovely dogs of all shapes and sizes.
