Four years ago today, I met the love of my life - eating possum roadkill in the middle of the street. 🥰 The first time she came up to me, I kissed her filthy head and told her she was home now - pretty dumb considering I had no idea just how feral she was, but she knew she was safe and let me. She was only 24 pounds, heartworm positive, and carrying every intestinal parsasite known to man. 😭 The dog who would come to be known as Edy, was sticky, stinky, and matted, but patiently let me cut the mats away while we waited to be seen at the e-vet. 🥰 My now-black dog had red fur and almost non-existent toe nails thanks to malnutrition. 😭 This beautiful angel is the epitome of a rags-to-riches story: going from having to scavenge carcasses to sleeping on the pillow in a human bed and wearing a different leash every day. 💁🏻‍♀️ But more than that, she is my heart dog, my world, my reason for living and my literal heartbeat. 🥰 Happy Adoptiversary, Edy! You are loved beyond measure!

Welcome Mia. She’s a 2 year old Border Collie mix. She weighs 32 pounds. She is heartworm positive, but this can be treated. Mia is a sweet girl, but she can be shy until she gets to know you.
Mia is watching at the front of her kennel, hoping you will stop, say hello, and take her outside. She walks well on leash - calm and gentle. Mia was a curious explorer in the yard. She was checking out all the scents and all the activity that was happening around her.

This fundraiser is for the Friends of Wake County Animal Center and run till Wednesday Jan 24th at 8pm EST. 50% of the sales will be donated towards them to help fund their low cost spay neuter vouchers, pet food pantry, community outreach, and heartworm treatment sponsorships for dogs at the Wake County Animal Center in Raleigh NC.

All items are pre-made and ready to be shipped out. Each item will have sizing info in the post. All you will need to do is comment SOLD on the items you want to buy. Once you finish shopping you can message me for a total with shipping ( starts at $4.95) or on Wed night at the close of the sale I'll message you with a total. If you are local to N. Behold! The little doggo who was “too sore in her hips” to sit at today’s Rally trial has been miraculously cured by the snacks on my desk! 😆🤦‍♀️

That said, the little monkey is going to spend all day tomorrow at NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine getting x-rayed from head to tail so we can learn more about how osteoarthritis is affecting her quality of life.

Say cheeese! 😬 As always, Katie was a perfect doll baby at the Rally trials this weekend!! 🥰 She earned a beautiful 99, taking third place! Then got a 95 ‘cause her dumb momma had to redo a sign, costing her 3 points. 🤦‍♀️ All in all, Kate went 2 for 2 on her Qs this weekend!! 🏆
