At The Green Dog Company, we believe that health begins with diet. Unfortunately, there are too many brands that add so many unnecessary ingredients along with highly processed meat scraps which can and have been linked to many cancers and diseases in dogs. Having first hand experience with dogs developing cancer, we decided to create not only the healthiest food possible, but food that can naturally aid in prevention of these diseases by using the highest quality of immune boosting ingredients. Ingredients such are tumeric, have been proven to aid in the reduction of inflammation and blueberries which are very high in antioxidants that can lead to better overall health.

The sad reality is that 1 in 2 dogs will develop cancer and this rate keeps rising. Just a few years ago, studies showed that it was 1 in 4. It just so happens to be a coincidence that the food quality given to dogs is also becoming worse. Our goal at The Green Dog Company is to not treat these diseases when they arise, but help to PREVENT any illness that could occur by a feeding a highly processed unhealthy diet.

Our dogs are not just pets, they are family and it’s our responsibility as fur parents to do the best we can for them. We sometimes can believe that we already are giving them the best of the best when it comes to food but the truth is, if there’s preservatives and ingredients that we can’t even pronounce, we certainly are doing the exact opposite. As humans, it can be extremely difficult to change our bad eating habits and switch to a healthy lifestyle but for dogs, it’s actually very easy because it’s our responsibility to simply choose the best and give it to them. The bonus to all of this is that it ACTUALLY taste great and dogs love it!
