Elijah with his new pony "Cookie Dough" and Cooper with his pony "Big Red" ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

So proud of these boys who completed their first horse show series! Thanks to Hannah for letting them borrow your horse along with their ponies. :D We didn't go to win even one ribbon, just to gain experience for them and help their ponies learn new things, but ended up with both!

"Big Red"

- Adorable 4-5 year old bay gelding
- Around 38 inches
- Gatesville, Tx

Bought him as only halter broke. Previous owner said he was halter shown as a yearling and then set out to pasture afterwards. When I picked him up he was very upset, about climbed through my trailer window once we finally got him in. I gelded him that following week and let my boys work him as one of their summer projects. We've worked extensively with him and he now trailers better, still takes an extra hand behind him occasionally, apparently that ride was quite traumatic! There isn't a mean bone in his little body that we have found, he would rather leave a situation rather than be stubborn about it.

He has so much potential and is absolutely adorable. He's too little for me to get on, so had my son break him to ride. His attitude is very soft, he needs to warm up to you before he trusts you. The bigger you are the more nervous he is. He would rather walk and trot on a lunge line than lope. He now lead lines and rides alone although we never went faster than a trot on him. He is very willing to learn, doesn't spook with "things", people are more where his distrust lies until he gets to know them. I would not consider him a beginner pony as he is still young and hasn't had much handling at all until we got him. He needs a confident rider who is patient and gentle with him.

We mainly rode him with a bitless bridle, he is still learning steering, but is making progress. He is up to date on coggins, feet trimmed a few weeks ago and wormed this past week. Easy keeper, very sweet... but again, takes him a hot minute to trust you.

I was not told before I bought him that he has subluxating patella in his hind legs. Basically there is a ligament in his stifle that catches and then releases. When he is super relaxed or hasn't been moving a lot you can see it catch. When he is warmed up and moving it doesn't catch at all. I've had him vet checked and it doesn't hinder him at all from being ridden or worked and doesn't hurt him. Vet told me it would be an easy fix that costs around $200 if I wanted it to go away, but basically that would just be for preference, as it doesn't affect him from moving.

As a mom to 3 boys, safety is my absolute concern with any pony and I want anyone considering him to know everything about him! Please let me know if you have any other questions about him... You can find many videos of him on my boys pony FB page @ EC Ponies.

"Apache" **SOLD**

- Gorgeous 4 year old paint gelding
- 12 hands
- LONG mane and tail that drags the ground

Was used as a carousel pony and stud with previous owner, I gelded him once I bought him and let my boys work him as a summer project. He trailers, stands for the farrier, lead lines and rides alone although we never went faster than a trot on him. He is very confident, not spooky at all. But with that, he needs a confident rider to make sure he knows they are alpha.

We mainly rode him with a bitless bridle, just recently started him in a snaffle but haven't had much time in it. He is up to date on coggins, feet trimmed a few weeks ago and wormed this past week. Easy keeper, sweet... but again, needs someone who is not an absolute beginner as he can be pushy if he thinks he can get away with it. Quick learner, needs a job to do or he gets bored ๐Ÿ˜‚

He occasionally gets bored when tied and paws some, but for the most part he does good when tied to a trailer or tree.
Some of these pics are from a photo shoot I did with him and my son and he did so well during it. He's got so much potential, his size is perfect for smaller riders as well as small adults. I'm 5'2 and 110 pounds and he did just fine when I rode him.

As a mom to 3 boys, safety is my absolute concern with any pony and I want anyone considering him to know everything about him! Please let me know if you have any other questions about him... You can find many videos of him on my boys pony FB page @ EC Ponies.

**SOLD**
"Sweet Pea"...

Super cute 4 year old Welsh Pony, around 10-11 hands. Big blaze, long mane/tail and 4 white socks with some white splash to her underbelly and under her jaw. Rescued from a kill pen, she is gentle but needs to know your alpha, once she knows that, she listens very well with a great and willing attitude. We were told she was broke to ride and had been shown in lead line. Not sure if that is true or not, because it takes her doing something several times to get comfortable...but once desensitized, she's fine with it. Repetition is important for her.

We haven't had a lot of time to spend with her, but have been able to start riding her, so she is leadline broke. She just needs more hours in the saddle to be finished.

She meets you at the gate, loads nicely in trailer and leads very well. Backs up at the shake of a lead rope, no pulling or having to push. Knows how to hide her butt and face you. Lunges very well, prefers walking and trotting to loping. Not a beginner pony, but the perfect size for a confident rider who wants to upgrade in size from a smaller pony or wants something who will go faster if asked. She is still young and can learn a lot if you put the time and patience into her. Wormed her in December and she had a clean coggins when we picked her up.

She is available now 'as is' for someone to continue working with and give her a job! Price will go up as we keep riding and working her.
