Now that the puppies have started to settle in, and get into their routine, I have got to know them and their little personalities.
This is what I mean when I say our dogs are ‘under assessment.’
It means I’m taking the time to get to know them, individually.
This means, I can match them with the most perfect forever family, because I know what they need.
Their likes, dislikes, what kind of home would suit them best and make them happy.
Now that I have finished assessing the pups, I can start to go through their applications.
(All 76 of them.)
I have had numerous people message me daily, wondering why I haven’t replied to their application or booked a viewing for them even though they are ‘desperate’ and ‘want the exact breed’ - and I’ve even been very rude because I haven’t had the decency to reply within the hour and one of these puppies is ‘perfect’ for them and they are available
But, are you perfect for the puppy ??
That’s all I care about.
Yes, they could be everything you’ve ever wanted, but that doesn’t mean you can provide THEM with everything THEY need?!
I shall work through their applications and try to find suitable families.
Then, I will call you to discuss.
Then, we will arrange completion of home checks.
If you aren’t patient enough to understand just how valuable my time is, the care I give to these animals, and how much I dedicate to them instead of answering your 7th email of the day- sadly, you won’t be deemed patient enough to cope with a lively 9 week old puppy.
If you don’t hear from me in the next 7-10 days, sadly it means you have been unsuccessful this time.
I don’t reply to every application.
However, we do have lots of other lovely dogs in needing homes so if I think you would suit one of them- I shall call/email you to discuss them too.
Thank you, as always, for your support. 🙌
