“Tanner has been with us since Feb 2021 and is still the sweetest and cuddliest big guy.☺️ His current favourite thing to do is sleep in the sun on our screened-in back porch. He is now a sibling of two little humans and is smothered with hugs on a daily basis… He puts up with it now that our toddler knows how to feed him treats.😜 Our lives would certainly not be the same without him and we’re so lucky to have him in the fam. ❤️“

Meet Stanley 🖤

We are looking for an immediate foster for Mr. Stanley!

Stanley has been with us for quite some time now. It took him a while to come out of his shell, however, he is not loving sharing his foster home with the resident cats. For this reason, we are looking to move him to a foster with no other Cats, or only one other cat that is very friendly and welcoming to new friends.

Alternatively, Stanley is ready for adoption and would love to move to his forever home instead. Our goal is to move him quickly, so we are open to a foster to adopt situation as well.

✨MTAF Alumni Feature✨ Caturdays are purrfect for sharing adopter updates, such as this one from George of the Jungle (formerly Francis):

Hello, my name is George of the Jungle! I’m an MTAF alumni adopted in June 2020. I’m 4 years old now and my favourite things are my soft food in the morning, Mommy’s ear scritches, stalking my brother Alfie and catching sunbeams on the windowsill in Mommy’s office. Every so often, I make an appearance on MS Teams, usually my butt first. Mommy’s supervisor thinks it’s hilarious… Mommy not so much. I have the tiniest meow and the quietest purr but what I lack in volume, I make up in personality. I have a few nicknames: Georgie, Georgie Porgie, Fuzz, Fluff, DJ Jazzy Floof, and the Darkness. I like my dog brother Conan but he’s a bit of a jerk with me so I hang out with Mommy and Alfie upstairs during the day while the Drooling One works with Daddy in the basement. Mommy’s hoping for a miracle that we’ll all be friends one day but I’m not betting any tuna on it. Please, please, please adopt one of my feline friends. I mean, they’re not ALL as cute as me, but they come close! - Love Georgie

Who doesn’t love an adorable and easygoing fawn tabby? Sparky is a small and friendly 3.5 year-old dude who enjoys the company of other cats & dogs, but even more, he loves his people!💕 He could spend all day lounging with his humans and getting endless pets. Bonus if you work from home or are retired!😻

Sparky showed up in a rural community and took shelter under someone’s deck for a couple of months last fall. Although very nervous at first, he was so sweet and is now so happy to be loved indoors. He can be a bit shy to start and sometimes spooked by loud noises or quick, sudden movements. He would do best in a calm, adult-only home (older children would likely be ok).

It's Friday and Finn is feline fine about his new headshots!😼 How handsome is he in those photos, and in the candid shots from his foster humans?

In addition to being a gorgeous grey boy of less than a year, Finn is oh so sweet and soft. Plus, like his brother Brody (posted yesterday and also available), he loves other cats and humans. He enjoys cuddles (including bum pats!) and is great with older children in a calm home. What more could you ask for?💕

Finn has come SUCH a long way since being rescued from a rural colony with his family. He’s now enjoying life to its fullest in his foster home and deserves a loving family for his own. He needs other kitties in the home, and/or he can be adopted with his brother Brody! Please consider him for adoption!🐾

We are SO happy to announce that FARLEY is ADOPTED!!! 🎉 💛

Farley stole the hearts of everyone he met and we have been patiently waiting for someone to see how special he truly is. One of our former adopters, Jackie, who adopted Crush years ago, reached out to adopt with the hopes that Crush would accept a new friend.

The first week was a major challenge and Jackie was nervous that it wouldn’t work out. There is a reason that we say it’s important to stick it out and give it time because after the little rough patch, Crush and Farley became fast friends!!!

Jackie quickly announced that he was family and he was staying. We are SO happy! 🥰

We’ve been dealing with some unexpected emergencies and sincerely apologize for the overdue update on Mamma Maia and her babies!

Maia had a successful amputation surgery thanks to the wonderful doctors at Eagleson Veterinary Clinic!! She is recovering beautifully and is happy to be back with her babies. She is adjusting well to walking on 3 legs and enjoying some much deserved solo relaxation, while she heals. She is also loving her one on one visits with each of her kittens everyday.

We have exceeded our donation goal significantly thanks to all of you!!!! We were able to raise over $7000 which has allowed us to pay off Maia’s surgery and some of our large outstanding vet bill. We also reserved some funds to help spay/neuter, vaccinate and deworm all the kittens & Mama. This little family will cost us between $7000-$8000 to fully vet (including Maia’s amputation) and your generous donations have made this entirely possible. We could not be more grateful! A BIG thanks to Janice for facilitating this huge fundraiser for us!!

Maia is a survivor, a warrior and a very lucky girl to have SO much support from this community. THANK YOU!! ♥️🐾♥️🐾♥️

We were tagged in a post to bring in this little family that is currently living in someone’s backyard. The poor mama is limping with a leg injury, on top of nursing her babies and dealing with this heat wave and rain!

Our intake is closed, but all rescues are overflowing right now and sadly no one else was able to help, so we said yes.

One of our fosters (who’s currently fostering another one of our cats 😅) generously offered to take them in and prepared her bathroom right away. Trappers are on site tonight to secure them and Mama will be taken care of at Eagleson Vet Clinic asap.

The only way we can bring these babies into care is if we receive donations. We owe $11,000 to our vet and a mom + litter of 5 babies is going to cost us $1000s in vetting, if there are no health issues or surgeries needed, and we simply do not have it.

How absolutely beautiful is our Mama Orla?? 🤍

Orla’s kittens have all been adopted and now she’s waiting for her special person!! Orla is just a kitten herself at just under 2! She is playful, active, energetic and loves to soak up all the love and attention she can get! Orla would do best in a home as a solo kitty, or with other VERY playful cats that can match her Bengal energy. She has been around dogs & young children with no issue either 🙂

✨MTAF ALUMNI FEATURE✨

While our purrfect adoptables await furever homes (please see our other posts or Petfinder), we thought we’d share some MTAF success stories!😻 First up, Ellen!

Hi. My name is Ellen. I allowed my 4 babies and I to be rescued when it started to get cold outside in December 2020. A bit later, MTAF thought I was pregnant again so my kittens were sent off to another home while I enjoyed all the lovely food, rest and relaxation for myself. I managed to fool the humans as long as I could as I secretly knew I was not pregnant and was just a good huntress who enjoyed showing off my full figure.
My almost identical quadruplets were well cared for and socialized by their foster family while I was enjoying my life as an empty-nester. However, those humans were very sad when my babies were all adopted. When the gig was up that I was not pregnant and was ready for my forever home, the humans who’d fostered my babies decided that they needed to adopt me!

I go by Ellie now and I can only sleep if I am touching one of my humans. I used to be skeptical about this ‘indoor life’ but now I am enjoying the lap of luxury, the routine, the food that I don’t have to hunt for anymore, the human loving cuddles, the protection from thunderstorms, and even the pedicures which I look forward to as I know I get to chase after yummy treats. Although, I could do without the contraption called the ‘vac-coom’. The humans tell me I am a “very good and smart girl” and they are “very happy they adopted me” everyday.

We need fosters! ♥️

Most of the cats we bring in, are coming from outside with minimal human contact and need to learn they can trust us. Often when they first come inside, they are very scared and may hiss, growl, climb or hide.

We need fosters that are comfortable and patient, allowing the cat to adjust to the new environment, while also spending lots of time with them, talking, reading, getting them familiar with humans.

These undersocialized kitties will not progress, become adoptable or learn that they are safe if we don’t put ourselves out there to show them it’s okay.

We provide tons of tips and advice to ensure your foster kitty thrives and we help you integrate them into your home.

We currently have a few kitties waiting to come in, including this little guy, but we need fosters. If you have room in your home to help show love to a cat living on the streets, please reach out or fill out our foster application form:
