Had my first chicken pass away today, looks like a heart attack. She was the first chicken to lay an egg for me. I take joy in knowing she had such a great life. She was the matriarch of my flock and you could see how her friends were upset. RIP Bluebell. You will be missed, thank you for all those delicious eggs!

8 weeks and now they are ready; feeling so accomplished, raising my own meat for my family. Such a learning experience and these chickens have had nothing but loving treatment and care. Weighing between 6.12 and 4.8 pounds. I am grateful for this.
