Sadly, it has come time to close my breeding program at Lil Binky Rabbitry. What a blast it has been breeding bunnies. Loved it all.

I’ve met amazing families where my bunnies have gone to, and all my Lil Binky bunnies are thriving. I’ve had many emotional highs and emotional lows/tears.

I’ve learnt a hell of a lot about bunnies.

I will still keep my ‘Buddy Lin’ as he is an old bunny now and he was the reason why I started breeding, and my rescue Mable Darcy, she is soooo tiny and needs extra care.

My two does (Lola Grace and Betty Boo) and one buck (Leo Davinci) will be rehomed. Check website for photos. Ring me if interested.

Today was creating day for Buddy and Lola. Must say Buddy was a real casanova and had Lola wrapped around his paw. ☺️

Now let the count down begin - 32days.

It’s been a while between posts.

I wanted to touch base with you all about the importance of vaccinations for your bunnies. It’s a personal choice of the owner to do it or not. I’m not here to tell you what you should or shouldn’t do for your bunny.

I was naive to think my bunnies would never get any diseases as they were in my house and backyard/Rabbitry. What could go wrong? I never vaccinated my bunnies before.

Sadly, the calicivirus went through my rabbitry. It was heartbreaking and so traumatic for me and my family. Never wish it upon any bunny or breeder.

The calicivirus is real, and is in Australia. It can affect your bunnies. I won’t take the risk anymore.

All my breeding bunnies will now be vaccinated. My surviving Bucks have also been vaccinated and given booster shots.

Read up on virus’s and how bunnies can be protected. Arm yourself with the knowledge to protect your bunnny babies.

Buddy has a long haired gene in his gene background, resulting in 98% of his babies long haired. REW.

Lil Binky bunnies are socialised with the whole family, even our puppy Spencer who loves to herd them gently, and Brodie who sleeps on the sidelines as possible referee if needed. 😀

NB. I never leave the room when bunnies are out with our dogs. Always watching. No bunny is ever harmed in any play time.
