Check out today’s insta reel! Whiskey and this dude are besties, and he’s not feeling that great today. He chipped his tooth and its making for a not very pleasant chew toy and play day.

I wanted to share some training articles about training your pup not to bark. There are various methods. I use sit, stay, quiet usually. I also remove annoying stimulus, like the ability to stare out the front window, I say “other side of the yard” when I neighbor dog starts to taunt and bark, and most importantly once the alpha (or in my case the dog siting dogs) figure it out, the others will follow suit. If Whiskey and Oscar go off them all the dogs sing in chorus.
Some methods include:
1. Putting your hands around your pups mouth as a muzzle. Muzzles themselves can be used but are best as a tool for emergencies and are not a solution.
2. Putting a dog in their crate, turning your back and ignoring. (Crate not necessary for some dogs)
3. The scary sounding but sometimes necessary bark collar. If you want to use a bark collar I strongly suggest hiring a trainer for at least the initial set up and teaching of commands. Bark collars are a tool not a solution.
Here are three of my favorite articles on these matters.

to make up for the missed Friday funday. I’m loving the brown dogs with a green background! These pups are loving the cool grass to roll around in, and we’re all loving the lack of dust all around us! These girls played hard and really broke the new place in!

It’s over here at the new house. These guys think moving is hard work and all they did was bark at the movers. Auntie Inga actually carried a bunch of boxes, directed movers, walked in circles and unpacked her kitchen! The humans are excited for our next chapter but sleepy girls couldn’t care less!

THROWBACK THURSDAY!! (AKA playing catch-up 🤪🤔😆)

RIP Tire mound. Many Alfa’s and friends have conquered your summit and surveyed the lands beyond the fence! Pups from all over the nation traveled near and far in search of a place to wag their tail. What they found was a mound that was meant for more; more games of monkey in the middle and king of the hill, more races around the base and leaps across the top.

This week we tore down the highlight of our pup playground. In time it will be resurrected, but for now we say goodbye.

I must give credit to our four legged helpers thus far. Without their pawsome digs we may not have had so much fun this week😂😂😂👏👏👏👏👏

Photos from this summer’s shenanigans on the tire mound🥰
