Now the warmer weather is finally sneaking up upon us we are once again opening up our socialisation days. These will either be on a Saturday or Sunday twice monthly. Prices are £5 per dog and will be just over an hour long per session. Each session will include refreshments, advice on training as well as a supportive non judgmental environment. It’s a great way to meet new friends along the way and just have a good get together in the sun with our dogs. With the space we have there are also great public foot path walks which enable us to do group dog walks in the sessions. Dates and times are still yet to be determined but I will keep you updated. There will be dates for both sociable dogs which are limited to 10 and reactive dog days that are a maximum of 5

Can we help the beautiful Bella and her family.
*not one of my dogs post on behalf of a referred client from Stockport who is willing to travel. below information is from Bella’s family and not my own post*

Bella is a 3 year old chocolate roan working cocker spainal. The last thing me and my partner wanted to do was rehome her, she is my baby girl and it kills me to think we can not have her as part of the family anymore. We are reaching out becuase we have rang around all shelters and no where is taking dogs on at the moment and we just keep getting knocked back. I am currently half way through pregnancy and unfortunately I just can not have her around a baby or any children as she is to dangerous. She is full of life and energy always wanting to play and loves her ball and any toys. Shes very clever and knows most house commands. She’s toilet trained, very loving and will always want to give you cuddles however unfortunately she has picked up behaviours where she can growl and bite when approached in rear circumstances also not very good with other animals. She needs someone who will put some time and effort in to training her. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help us out it’s hard enough to come to terms with the fact I have to give her away, but even worse to think she might not be able to go to a loving home this really is our last resort. Thank you.

Hi everyone we may need your help. Recently I am getting a lot of rehome request for various breeds from families who have tried various avenues to no avail. If any loving family with no children are willing to open there home to a beautiful dog who needs a little help, time, care an attention please let me know. Unfortunately rescues are full and these families have no where else to turn to. I am there last hope. I will post adverts and photos soon as I am able wilth full info to help these dogos find a new home. New homes will be vetted before placement. These are not my dogs.

With the warmer weather right around the corner why not join us for our first paws and Prosecco afternoon. Come along down to Lakeside Dog services to talk about the services we provide, free advice and demonstrations given on the day as well a chance for both dogs and owners to socialise in a secure friendly location. 1 glass of Prosecco per human, pawsecco for your four legged companion and unlimited dog treats. £5 per human. Just an example of what we do.
All of the dogs that attend any of our services have a one page profile. Briefly explaining their personality, health conditions, age, breed, colour and allergies along with a photo to identify them. As an owner of a business that provides a service to the love and care of your pet safety Is our main focus. In case of an incident in which we could not provide a detailed explanation of your pet we have one page profiles. These are accessible in emergency circumstances. Be reassured that at Lakeside Dog services the safety and security of your beloved pets come first in any circumstances that may arise.

Why working dog breeds even as pets can benefit from gun dog training.

Dog breeds that originally come from a working back ground can benefit from gun dog training even if you don’t want to use them for that specific purpose. Working dogs ie: working cocker spaniels, working springer spaniels and working labradors make fantastic pets but sometimes become easily bored and sustain a lot of energy that they cannot always release in a pet environment. Gun dog training provides a developed level of basic obedience that working dogs thrive upon.

Today we celebrated this beautiful girls birthday in style with all her new friends. The day started off with birthday toast and walks then ended in ball
Pool fun cakes and presents. It’s been a fantastic day for everyone and every dog involved and we couldn’t be any happier than to celebrate today with this amazing girl. So stella happy birthday from everyone at Lakeside Dog services we love you ❤️

I think today everyone has needed a pick me up
And this has been mine. I’ve had the most amazing opportunity to interact and socialise these beautiful working cocker spaniels. I’ve honestly loved every second. Just looks at those blue roan’s however The cheeky black boys have my heart ❤️

Update**** now reunited with owners

Has anyone lost this beautiful boy. He was found early this morning wondering around the chicken farms soaked to the bone he is safe and happy being fed and loved at the moment he has been scanned but unfortunately no chip.
