The mandated evacuation was lifted yesterday (yay!) and we are getting settled back in to our home. The experience has been challenging, but we are incredibly grateful for all the prayers and support from our community. Your encouragement has meant the world to us during this time. We remain on high alert, but we feel better prepared for whatever comes next. Thank you again for your prayers and amazing support!

Puppy Crying…do they want my attention or a potty break?!

I want to be with you! I need a potty break! Which one is it? When we bring our puppies home, we want to bond with them, work on house training, and help them acclimate to their crates, pens and other spaces in their new homes. Just like human babies, crying is not only normal but is generally one of the only ways puppies have to communicate with their people. We want to help them learn that crying doesn’t work to get our attention, so they will give up on trying to get a response this way. This is why we don’t look at them, talk to them, or go close to them when they are making attention-seeking noises...

Who has a picky eater? Let's talk! Share some tips or issues to discuss...

Hey Pomsky parents! 🐶✨ Did you know that frequently switching your dog’s food can actually teach them to be picky eaters? Here’s why consistency is key:

🔹 Stability: Dogs, especially Pomskies, thrive on routine. Frequent changes can upset their stomach and make them hesitant about new foods.

🔹 Nutrition: Sticking to a high-quality dog food ensures they get balanced nutrition. Constantly changing brands can disrupt their diet and health.

🔹 Behavior: When you frequently switch foods, your Pomsky may start expecting variety and refuse their meals, leading to picky eating habits.

Remember, if it’s absolutely necessary to change their food, do it gradually. Mix the new food with the old one over a two-week period to ensure a smooth transition and happy tummies! 🥰🍽️
