It's that time of year again where the weather gets chilly! So no more shipping snakes until at least January 5th, or until the weather warms up. If you're looking for gift ideas check out snake mama's art page for custom pet portraits
We're getting ready for brumatation in the meantime. Galeana must know since she's already soaking herself. She and Onxy will be going through brumation so hopefully we'll have some melanistic earstern babies next year. Galeana had ovulated and produced jellies the last two years, so she tried to make babies! She's still got a lot of extra weight too since we all thought she was pregnant and was feeding her as such.
We're giving Garnet a break this coming season since she produced a lot these last two years. And her daughter, Citrine, is not quite big enough to breed so we're going to give her another. So, we don't have any plans for flame babies this coming season. There are a still a few males left from this last summer that will be looking for homes once the whether warms up.
Ruby, hasn’t been interested in food but is still active and comes to me whenever I approach. I wonder if he thinks it’s mating season with all the rain we’ve been having. We may brumate him for a month so that he can reset his internal clock.
Then I need to decide if we're breeding any California kingsnakes this coming season. We still have quite a few babies from 2023 and 2024, so we're hesitant on making more before finding homes for these babies. Although, we haven't produced any normal California Kingsnakes yet, and Az**el has had a break these last couple of years. I would also like to see if Crowley and Aziraphale could produce some more lavender snows and purple passions. And our high white albinos are probably ready to try again, but not if there's not any demand. So let us know if you're interested!
