Hello everyone!! This has been a surprise project I’ve been working on for a little while, as some of you or most of you may know, I closed my rattery back in 2022, and I currently do not have a full rattery, however I have had some boys as pets since then and a friend of mine has had some girls, she is actually a previous adopter, and we decided to have a litter with each one of her girls to help with long term health, as if females have a litter or multiple, they are less likely to get mammary tumors in their last days, so that being said, I have one litter currently that is standard ear black and white capped+blaze velveteen and they are 5 weeks and will be ready next Saturday. I will be getting pictures and making a post the next few days, so everyone KEEP YOUR EYE OUT!! There will be a few other litters in the next few months but it won’t be long that I will have babies, I know some of you have been wanting babies from me for a while and I haven’t been able to have any babies so this is your chance!! I’m super excited to be able to do this again even if it’s only for a little while. Thank you everyone, I’ll leave yall some rat tax!! (Neither babies are part of the litter or available:) )

I’ve wanted to make this post for a while now and I’ve been dreading it, as of today Mystical Whiskers Rattery is closed until further notice. I’ve loved every bit of my journey these past two years, but it’s time for me to move on from this chapter of my life. Rats will forever be a huge part in my life, and will remain a huge part in my life. However breeding became a much larger project then I expected, and I do not think I was very prepared for it, having my Rattery and my supporters was awesome, I don’t regret it one bit. But it’s too much for me to handle in my current situation, I have to take a step back and focus on myself. But I hope to one day come back and restart my Rattery, its definitely a goal, I just don’t know when it will be a realistic goal. Who knows, but for now I will gladly give out references to anyone needing some on where to get new ratties as I know several awesome ratterys, I’m open to questions, and I’ll always enjoy updates on babies that went to their new homes.

This also means:

ANY rats currently posted as adoption, those adoptions have been forfeited. They are no longer available.

Hi all!! This is Beatrix+ Deeks babies!! + a female being adopted by Ethos Exotics and our new addition lilah from The Mischief on the Mountain Rodentry who is a black/white velveteen Harley carrier dumbo, we also have her brother who has the same markings as her but he is top ear and standard coat!! I Just haven’t been able to snag some pics yet, sadly the Beatrix + Deeks litter has been mostly held back or reserved my fellow breeders in the area, and only 2 rats were available to the public, 1 is now pending and the other is a chocolate or dark mink Berkshire female that will be posted later on.

Beatrix had her beans this morning!!! We were expecting all black rexes (the babies would have black eyes, visible through the skin now) and we now see that there are 5 babies with ruby eyes!!! We have no idea what they could be!! I guess it’s an unknown recessive that both parents have showing through!!! There are 4 boys, 7 girls, 11 in total!! 6 black eyed babies 5 ruby eyed babies!! I will update once we figure out what the ruby eyed babies really are!!
