Exciting news on my Devon breeding program! As most of you know I was not going to be breeding Devon’s in the foreseeable future but I’ve been given the opportunity to have a litter of kittens with Clover, who is Starla’s sister. While I originally hoped to continue Starla’s lines, things didn’t work out as planned, but Clover is now expecting! She’s in kitten to my stud boy, Apache, and we’re looking forward to a variety of beautiful colors. The litter is due around the beginning of February, and I’ll share updates as time allows. Stay tuned!

PET INSURANCE - IMPORTANT!! BREEDERS & RESCUES

BREEDERS : One of the best things you can do for your babies leaving your cattery/home is ensure that as they leave, they are covered by pet insurance. There are quite a few companies out there that will provide free of charge 6-8 weeks for kittens leaving your care. Not only does it not cost you anything, but it also gives you the assurance that should anything happen once the kitten leaves your home, they should be able to get the assistance needed if they develop FIP ( & other illnesses or injuries).

RESCUES : Some insurance companies are now offering a certain amount of free cover to animals adopted from rescues. One is PetCover. There may be others as well.

OWNERS :- One of the best things you can do for your new kitten is to ensure that you continue the cover(whether with the breeders insurer or another of your choosing) / take up pet insurance when bringing a new kitten home, at least for the first 12 months.

This will ensure that if your kitten develops with FIP (or another illness/ has an accident requiring vet care) that they will be able to receive the needed care & it won't cost you an arm and a leg, generally the excess cost.

Whilst we hear the argument a lot that pet insurance is not worth it and you're better to put money aside in a seperate bank account, many people will not be able to save the required funds for vet care before an illness or accident happens. Pet insurance is only a nuisance until you need it & with the cost of living going up, including vet costs, it can and does, and saves lives.

I thought I would post on my page as I’ve been getting a lot of people message for kittens , I have had to make a huge decision in regards to breeding Devon’s , I have decided to have a break for a while ( how long is a while ) you ask , well I’m not sure, due to some personal issues I feel it’s best to reflect and move forward.
I love my Devon’s 🥰 they are a breed of there own they give there families so much and I’m sure everyone who owns one would agree….
I will be moving on to group 2 cats which are Siamese and oriental they are just as cheeky as the Devon’s but a bit louder 😂😂
And to all my babies families I hope you are all doing well , keep contact as I would still love to see how they are all doing 🥰😻

Yesterday we attended the cats united show in Fremantle little miss Bonnie placed reserve in one ring and best kitten in another ring, was a quite show for the very last of the year 😻

We attended the Coawa Halloween 🎃 show yesterday
Miss Bonnie received two 1st places and a 2nd place in the 3 rings , well done to everyone who placed 🥰🐈‍⬛

Judging is finally over carolann bonnie received a 1st place from Amy Stadter TICA and a 4th place from Erin brown ACF ☺️
We have had a good two days here at the royal show Bonnie has handled it really well , can’t wait to see what group 2 brings next year .

Kitten fun with the Grandaughter today 😂😻 people often ask how are Devon’s with kids , well I think this video should give u the answer 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ they are happy to be around children and people in general . Never a dull moment with a Devon in the house 🏠 they were all worn out by the afternoon sleeping 💤 until dinner 😂😂
