Fun fact, alpacas will lay with there bellies exposed to the sun for ultimate vit D absorption! Alpacas thick wool and skin makes it hard for them to absorb vit d from the sun. So they sunbake and also revieve 2 injections a year of vit d !

Just here to touch base and let you all know i am currently moving house/farm, its proving to be a massive job ! Please bare with me, i may take another few days to get back to you. Well, its late but here it is.
I have decided, once a month i will give your guys a snippet into my life and how i ended up here, spreading joy around the place with my fur babies.
A little bit about me , emma !
I was raised in kwinana with my mum dad and three brothers, i am the baby of the family. I have worked for farmtastic for a total of 9 years , i took over ownership in 2019. I have always been surrounded by animals, growing up my mum bred dogs and my dad birds, i remeber telling my dad many times as a child. " when i grow up i am going live on a farm and have 40 horses!" I remember him scruffing my hair and saying "of course you will".... yet i don't think he truly believed me 😆
I actually didnt realise my how deep my love for animals was until i was about 19, because then i had moved out of home and gotten my own dog and cat. They comforted me through some very hard times, and i knew all i would need for the rest of my life is the companionship of any animal.

But first did you know ive been around animals since the day i was born. Ive been working with animals (petting zoos in particular) since i was 18, im 29 now, so that is 11 years ive been bringing my babies out and about to see the smiles on your kids faces !

I was blessed to get up close and personal with this guy on Monday.
However the circumstances were not so great, this little guy was hit and left in the middle of the road. This is something that rubs me the wrong way, it upsets me and makes heckin mad. All it takes is maybe an hour out of your day to do the right thing! Not many animals actually die the moment you hit them ... Did you know many animals lay by the side of the road dying a slow painful death? Often they die by starvation and/or infection from their injuries.
5 minutes of compassion can save a living creature so much pain.
When you hit an animal STOP. Its actually the law!
This guy went to native arc and was able to be released the next day . Happy ending for sure ! 🤗
I may be bias, coz well all mums are....but aren't my wooly children just BEAUTIFUL !
Although I suffered i huge loss this week, im always comforted by knowing I'm truly blessed to be surrounded by animals every where i go !

When I lost Tyson, my heart ached...it still aches. 💔 It's like Humphrey knows, he now meets me at the gate everyday, he is slowly but surely reminding me I still have all my best friends, right hear on the farm with me.
