Foghorn- An Alaskan Rooster

To all of Foghorn’s followers, I am very sad to say that we lost Foghorn last Saturday. We are not sure what caused his passing but he is going to be sorely missed. Foghorn had a profound effect on our family. He was part of the family. I was hoping we could share his story to teach others how wonderful roosters can be. I appreciate everyone who followed him and hope you were able to enjoy his antics as well.

We will be continuing to use this page to feature the other rescue roosters we have in Foghorn’s honor. After all, it was him that inspired us to rescue.

Foghorn is magical!!! 🧙🏻‍♂️🐔🤩

His friend Norman here hasn’t been feeling good lately so he was brought in the house. He had swollen ears with lots of gunk in them, a swollen comb, wasn’t eating or drinking, wasn’t crowing, and was very tired and lethargic. He has lost a lot of weight too. We took him to the vet yesterday and got some pain meds and antibiotics. He seemed to perk up today and swelling went down but I still couldn’t get him to eat or drink anything and he still was sleeping a lot and not crowing. I decided to let Foghorn in for a visit and Norman immediately looked brighter. After just a few minutes he was crowing and eating again!! Foghorn is such a good friend!! 💖💖💖

Every day I spend with Foghorn I am impressed with how intelligent, observant, and curious he is. Even after a stressful day I can go visit him and he does something silly that instantly puts a smile on my face. I am so excited that he has over 100 followers now on Facebook!
