PLEASE READ..
It is with sadness and regret, that I have made the hard decision to temporarily close Fresh Paws, effective today.
As most of you know, our family has not had it easy these last few weeks. My head is all over the place and I’m exhausted.
I understand this will cause you inconvenience, and I’m truly sorry.
I hope that when I re open, you will still continue to bring your pooches, but I totally understand if not. I want to thank you all so very much for trusting Fresh Paws.

So you remember the video of the dog that was trying to eat me???? Well, with a bit of patience and a lot of love, we’ve got this far. Things WILL only get better

So, long post. This video, (no sound to protect owners anonymity) was taken today. This is a 1 yr old male cockerpoo. He had previously been to me and never showed any aggression, but owner took him to a nearer groomer, which is understandable. Only trouble is, the dog now shows a lot of aggression. What happened???? He won’t let his owners brush him, so when he came, he was very matted, hence the very short fur cut ( which I absolutely hate doing and will avoid at all costs) Now he has to have lots of work to desensitise him of his fear of groomers. The maintenance of your poo mixed breeds is a must. They must have regular grooms, especially if you are not able to brush them every day. It took me 4and a half hours to groom this little chap. I know he has a sweet soul because he’s been to me before. The groom is not perfect and I apologised to his mum. We are now going to work together to get his coat to where it should be. It’s going to take lots of hard work, treats and cuddles. Challenge excepted!!! Please, please, please, if you have a poo mix, make sure the groomer you choose has the Patience to deal with them.
