It’s human nature to want to nurture and care for our blind pets as much as we can. But one of the worst things you can do is baby your blind baby. Let them learn about their new world by exploring and doing. Let them utilise their remaining senses and ultimately enhance them. If you take away their independence, they’ll become a shell of themselves and as will you!

Sight is the weakest sense for a dog, and their sense of smell and hearing far outweighs their vision. Many people are often surprised at how quickly a blind dog learns to navigate, and it’s all down to their other senses. They truly are wonderful creatures!
