🐾 More Than a Wish: The Power of Your Birthday! 🎂

We want to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has dedicated their birthday to the kitties of Palm Beach Purrs!

Every year, your Facebook fundraisers raise hundreds of dollars, sometimes more. That isn’t just a number to us—it’s deworming and flea prevention, life-saving surgeries, and countless bowls of kibble. Most importantly, it introduces our mission to your friends and family who might never have found us otherwise.

You are our voice, and we are so grateful to be near and dear to your hearts. ❤️

🎈 How to Start Your Own Birthday Fundraiser

Want to swap your birthday gifts for a "purr-pose"? It only takes a minute to set up!

1. Find the Fundraiser Tool: On your Facebook Home feed, click Fundraisers in the left menu (or search "Fundraisers" in the search bar).

2. Select Your Cause: Tap Select Nonprofit and search for "Palm Beach Purrs".

3. Set Your Goal: Choose a financial goal and an end date for your campaign.

4. Tell Your Story: Facebook provides a default description, but adding a personal note about why you support us makes a world of difference!

5. Share & Celebrate: Hit Create and invite your friends to join the party!

Canned food needed! This is the food we feed our foster kittens and also what we give to them when they are at Petsmart. We are completely out of the pate cans of the turkey which is the number one food and flavor we try to stick to for avoiding diarrhea. Please, if anyone can help us with a case or two, we would be so grateful! Kitten season is in full swing and we are drowning in kittens!

Here is our Amazon wish list which, if you order it, it will ship directly to us without you needing to do anything else

Thank you so so much for your support!

The ultimate girls' day! 🎀🐾

Guava and Loquat recently had the best time hosting some very special visitors for a little "girl time," and it was pure magic. These sweet two-month-old sisters absolutely loved soaking up all the attention, giggles, and gentle pets!

As you can see, they are total naturals with kids and ready to bring that same joy to their furever home. They would love to be adopted together so they can keep bringing big smiles and endless purrs to a family of their own.

Apply today to come and meet there!

From the ICU to the Big Leagues: Badger’s Update! 🐾

Hey everyone! We wanted to share a truly wonderful update on our brave little fighter, Badger. As many of you know, this spring started with a scary battle against Panleukopenia. While we still carry the memory of his sweet brother who lost his fight, we are so incredibly proud of how hard Badger fought to stay with us.

And boy, is he making the most of it!
Badger has officially been adopted into a wonderful forever home, and he wasted no time hiring a personal assistant/wrestling partner. Meet his new, incredibly fluffy big brother! As you can see, Badger’s strategy involves 90% high-energy ninja attacks and 10% hiding in all that white fluff.

Thank you all for your support, prayers, and love during a terrifying time. Badger is thriving, happy, and living his absolute best life.

💔🐾 We lost a beautiful soul this last night. 💔🐾
Chocolate was a healthy, happy baby who had been growing in her foster home for weeks, thriving, playing, and getting ready to meet her forever family at PetSmart. She was loved by everyone who met her.

While at the store, one of our volunteers noticed she wasn’t eating. Something felt off. Our adoption lead, the wonderful April, rushed over to check on her and immediately saw that Chocolate had lost weight and was breathing with her abdomen : a sign no kitten should ever show.

April brought her straight to our headquarters, and after examining her and speaking with our medical team, the decision was made to get her to the ER immediately. It was already after 7 PM, and she needed help fast.

At VEG Boynton, one of our trusted emergency partners, Chocolate was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. She was placed on oxygen right away and given every bit of supportive care they could offer. She fought so hard, and the team fought right alongside her. But despite all the love, skill, and effort poured into her, she continued to decline. We reached a point where we knew she was suffering, and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go.
Chocolate was adored, by her foster family, our volunteers, her medical teams, and even the adopters who were already excited to meet her. She was special. She was wanted. She was worthy of every kiss, every meal, and yes, every dollar spent trying to save her life.

We don’t know how she developed pneumonia after being so healthy for so long. Our best suspicion is that she may have had a low level of mycoplasma that took advantage of her immune system lowering after her spay and vaccines. It’s a cruel and unpredictable disease. We left no fight on the table for her, we tried everything we could.

Now, we are left with broken hearts, a flood of fresh tears and a significant emergency bill from her care. If you feel moved to help us recoup some of the cost of trying to save Chocolate, we would be deeply grateful. Your support allows us to keep saying “yes” to the vulnerable babies who need us most.

327 Days Later, Still Looking For Her Family ❤️‍🩹

Maryanne has spent her life putting others first. After raising her kittens with endless devotion, she watched each of them find their forever homes while she stayed behind, still waiting for a turn that hasn't come yet. She has been in rescue care for a very long time, and while her tabby coat is simple, her heart is an absolute treasure.

At two years old, Maryanne is the ultimate "easy" cat:
• Perfectly Mannered: She has impeccable house habits and is incredibly social.
• Family-Ready: She is wonderfully patient with small children and gentle with everyone she meets.
• The Perfect Balance: She enjoys quiet companionship but still has a sweet, playful side.

Maryanne isn't looking for a flashy life—just a loyal friend to greet with warmth every day. She is a quiet, golden-hearted girl who just wants to finally be the one being taken home.

Palm Beach Purrs cats and kittens have been fully dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped (which comes with free lifetime registration), FIV/FELV tested negative, and have received age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee is $150.

If you are interested in meeting Maryanne, please submit a no-obligation application using the link below so we can reach out to set something up!

We’ve already had four separate requests to take kittens and moms with kittens today alone totalling 13 cats and the day is only half over. Can you imagine if in a day I said yes to everyone who asks? I’d end up with 20-25 new cats in the rescue each day. That’s not possible. Especially if we only adopt out that number in a month. Please don’t be upset when a rescue has to say no. We don’t do it cause we don’t want to help. We do it because we physically cannot. We cry at night over each no we have to say. At least I do.
