For a long time, we have used animals as our sacrificial lambs in experimentation for multiple purposes. Large numbers of animals are sacrificed worldwide each year in biomedical research as well as other products. Because of this, our science and technology has improved drastically to the point it is today. But have we ever considered the physical and psychological impacts of said experiments on innocent animals?

There is absolutely nothing nice about animal experimentations. Multi-million-dollar companies and organizations experiment on animals for the sole purpose of, for example, regulatory tests for chemical safety ingredients in make up or essential body products for us humans. Some experiments are to see if vaccines work or to see if medications are safe for human ingestion. Most of these experiments carried out in laboratories result in poor animals dying after living a life being raise in tight cages or containers, free of natural life, sunlight and fresh outside air that every living animal deserves.

Animals are being taken away to do experiments for modern mankind. Not only they lose their homes and their families, they are most-likely going to get harmed during the process of the experiment. Although we do not feel anything or the animals will not respond much through the pain, but with our own eyes and think of it this way, these animals really are suffering in deep pain and they do not deserve to be treated this way.

The harsh and cruel reality with taking an animal away from its natural habitat and putting it into an artificial one is that the poor animal cannot carry out its natural behaviours just like it can in the wild. Placing an animal in a zoo or confined area for the long term permanently is the same as placing a human being in prison. Due to the lack of stimulation and enrichment as well as a variety natural factors that are of abundance in the wild, captive animal’s mental state will deteriorate drastically. This in turn will cause animals in zoos to overeat, oversleep and show signs of severe frustration along with mental instability.

Nowadays, the population of animals such as cows, pigs, sheep, fishes and chickens are growing faster than before. This is a good thing for us because we can get our daily meat and proteins from fresh markets or local stores. However, it is very strange that those type of animals can grow three times faster than how normally they should grow by their natural intended.

Nowadays as more factories are making products in order to be sold to local markets, the higher the risk for side effects like diseases will occur. Factory farming involves the system of using highly intensive methods on the populations of farm animals such as cows, chickens, pigs and others.
The action of placing thousands of animals and keeping them in a tiny space depriving them of all their natural instincts, you will most-likely be creating a breeding ground disease, and when it starts to spread, it will spread like wildfire. As most experienced farmers should know by now, they should separate all kind of animals and only put them together with their own species to avoid any of this diseases from occurring.

“ Piggeries “
Factory farming is a type of industrial farming that is responsible for the rearing of farm animals. These practices have grown in popularity since 1900’s to the early 20th century. In factory farms, animals are treated as commodities, as proven by the poor conditions inside the factories. This is because they can maximize their profits by treating animals not as sentient, living beings but as production units.

“ For Gras “
“Foie Gras” in French cuisine is a common and famous delicacy. Foie gras is a French term meaning fatty liver. Its flavour is described as rich, delicate as well as buttery, unlike that of a common goose or duck liver. It is definitely a delight to the senses for many of the rich when it comes to eating this luxurious meal, however the process of producing these foods (Foie Gras) is very unethical to say the least and goes against various animal rights and welfare laws.
