Advocate for your dog! If your dog’s boundaries are being impinged, it’s ok to say no And if you can, remove them from the situation Better still, have conversations with those around you so they know that yes, your dog does have boundaries because they are living, breathing creatures with feelings. It’s normal. Would you expect a child to tolerate all this? I should hope not. Our dogs need their space respected. We see all too often in our community sad situations where, as dog guardians, we have failed to recognize our dogs boundaries & it results in the dog having to put their own boundaries in place.
