These three were found on a good samaritan's porch. When mom disappeared, they were brought to us for care. They were riddled with fleas, severely underweight, had diarrhea and no appetite.
After a flea bath, sub q fluids, dewormer and antibiotics, these three are now flourishing, eating like pigs and quickly gaining weight!

Mothman is gaining weight fast and is eating like a champ. He's about 2.5 weeks old and starting to get curious about the world around him. Although sometimes his eyes glow red, which is concerning.

Moravia finally found her forever home last week!!! 🩷 She's been with me for over a year. She was found with her brother Linny living under the foundation of a home. They were the only survivors of their litter. Although sweet, she's been a very shy girl so I'm very happy somebody finally gave her a chance 😊

I've been so busy I haven't even introduced my new litter yet!!
We have the "Burger King" crew now! They were on the bottle for about a week and then transitioned to wet food. Once they were dewormed and deemed healthy- they were moved into the foster room to mingle with the soda crew. All 8 are doing fantastic, playing and growing every day.

The shelter is in DESPERATE need of bottle-feeders. If you've been thinking about raising neonates, now's the time to step up!! Neonates require round-the-clock care and love. They're lots of work, but the satisfaction is everything.
Orphaned neonates are at the most risk of being euthanized, as the shelter doesn't have the resources or the people to care for as many as they inevitably have to take in this time of year. This is the most important and direct way you can save a life.

Meet Fanta and Fizzy! These two are about 2.5 weeks old and were found in a basement where their momma then escaped and never returned. Now they are with me 🖤
They're doing great, eating a ton and growing. After a week, we'll introduce them to Mr. Pibb (as long as nobody shows any illness!). Then the three can grow up together and will be vetted before becoming available for adoption.
I love update photos! Look just how big Finn (Lestat) has gotten!
Mr Pibb is doing great! He's already gained almost 30g since Saturday and is starting to open his eyes!

**he is fine** Hey wait... That's not a cat 🤔 In my 2.5 years of rescue, I've of course helped lots of cats, and a couple litters of orphaned possums, turtles... Today was my first rabbit. I stumbled on this guy stuck in the fence. I'm just a magnet for animals in need🤷 A huge thank you to Statesville rehabber Sandy for coming out on such short notice and rescuing this guy 💜
Here's how weaning's going. The boys are all over the wet food, Justin's doing his perimeter check for weak points in the wall, and the girls have zero intention of leaving the milk bar.

Kelsey and Justin turn 3 weeks old today! 🎉These guys have gotten so big! They are walking around, playing and eating a TON. They're almost ready to wean off the formula and onto wet and then solid food.
Kesley and Justin hit their second milestone 🎉 they are two weeks old today!! They're pretty quiet in this video as they just got fed. The incubator usually has a lot more toys - they're all in the wash after a bout of diarrhea 🤦 Their eyes are now fully open and they're starting to play and explore 💕
The babies are 12 days old today and eyes are almost fully open!! Also - I now have an incubator! It will keep them toasty and safe, increasing their chances of survival. They are learning to use their legs - mostly just to kick eachother. 🤦 I've decided to name them Kelsey and Justin 💕
