Boss (on the left) is gettin up there! He’s turning 15 next month but with the help of his friends, he’s staying in the best shape possible. It’s hard to see our older dogs gimping around but keeping up with our daily walks seems to be helping this old man. Fresh air, mental stimulation and exercise are a must for these boogers. Turtle (next to Boss) might argue that couch naps & snacks are important too. 🌲🐾🍁

There’s nothing better than getting a sweet message from a client you worked with months ago! Dahj struggled with some ‘stranger danger’ and was learning all about his new lucky life after being adopted from OAS. Sounds like he’s Rockin it! & I’m so so happy for him & his family 🥳 Go Dahj!!

Now Boarding!!!
Meet Blue! He is 1.5 yrs old & newly testicle free 🙌🏼 Blue was a backyard dog most of his life until my client, Janet decided to take him in & offer him a world of new opportunities. We’re working on ‘All 4 on the Floor’ for approach since jumping up on his humans is crazy fun (for Blue that is) We have an endless number of skills to teach to this smart lucky boy so stay tuned for more!

Lenny here has succeeded in achieving over an hour of uninterrupted crate time!! 🥳 This is a huge achievement. He’s been loving his crate training so much that he goes into his crate On His Own anticipating the fun “work” (ahem.. string cheese) ahead. Even without regular string cheese interruptions he can Still Chill! Yes, the second picture is Lenny Chillin 😂

Urgent Adopter/Foster needed!! 🙏🏼 PLEASE REPOST 🙏🏼

Skye is currently located in Sacramento but willing to travel for the right fit.

A little about Skye from her current fosters:

Skye is a two year old 56 lb German shepherd husky mix. She is very sweet and playful, and very eager to please. She knows a lot of basic commands like sit, down, come, off (the furniture), paw, leave it, and stay. She's had some exposure to 'place' but could probably use a refresher, as well as some additional work on 'stay' and coming when called in highly distracting environments. She catches on really quickly and reacts well to 'no.' She's really eager to please and even just affection is a great training motivator, but throwing in a treat or a toy to add motivation wouldn't hurt! She's pretty good on a leash but recommend a front lead / easy walk (which is what she's used to).

Her fosters would have LOVED to keep her but their other (older) dog is aging out of having an additional housemate ☹️

Please reach out to me directly if you know of a good opportunity for this sweet, well-behaved dog social girl.

The current owners are NOT looking for an adoption fee!! They just want to find her a good home.

Loose Leash Walking skills! There are so many tips & tricks out there to keep your little buddy at your side. Using what’s called a “high rate of reinforcement” also know as TONS of tasty treats is often the easiest way to teach this skill. For all those littles out there this can be a tricky maneuver. Here I’m demo’ing how to use a wooden spoon with frozen PB on the end so Turtle can get a quick lick and I’m saving my back by not having to crouch down every other step! Thanks for the filming help from @citymannersdogtraining !!
