Worst birthday ever?
Sitting in Air France Biz Class lounge awaiting departure to LAX after flight from Nairobi, Kenya wrapping up a phenomenal safari birthday trip from hubby Al, and until an hour ago was exited and hopeful about our presidential election. But as the TVs screens all over the lounge and emails are coming in, the unthinkable, unfathomable seems to be happening in our great country - the crowning of King Trump. And Pub control of the Senate as well as statewide losses.

The announcements are today Nov 7 as votes are being tabulated but the voting was cast on Nov 6.

This will be a birthday to remember for the wrong reasons.

I fear that the younger generations will not enjoy living in a democracy as those of have and that history will report that AMERICA’S great experiment as a Democratic republic commenced its decline in the age of Trump.

Little River Band @ Pechanga in Temecula. No originalMembers from 1979?/80? When I met with the band to sign their recording? Publishing? Contract, when original signatures ( pre -electronic ) were required. As an unaccompanied 29 year old woman at a hotel/casino/concert venue I ended up ordering late-night room service after the concert. Not terribly exciting but safer after being followed thru the casino to the elevators. I pretended to forget something and hi tailed nack into the casino , weaved in & out & ditched him.
Such was a sample of the sexism & bulls..t that I dealt with as a young female music lawyer in s male/ dominated business. If I had smart phone then or a better memory now I could write an exposé!

George, the brave Jack Russell Terrier who saved five children from a vicious attack by two pit bulls in Manaia, New Zealand. Despite being much smaller than the attacking dogs, George courageously defended the children, barking and rushing at the pit bulls to protect them. He was so severely mauled in the fight that a veterinarian had to put him down due to the extent of his injuries. George's bravery didn't go unnoticed. The New Zealand Society for the Protection of Animals awarded him a bravery medal, and he was also awarded the PDSA Gold Medal by the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals. This medal is considered the animal equivalent of the George Cross, a testament to George's extraordinary act of bravery. They also erected this monument.

This is my grand niece, Lilly Durbin, who was the youngest to qualify to be a member of the US 2024 Olympics women’s rugby team but was prevented by a heart condition discovered while still playing for Duke University. One can imagine how difficult it must be to see your dreams dissipate despite your talent, character and qualifications – while watching your teammates go on to compete and win a medal.
I am so proud of Lilly with how she has transformed personal tragedy into a promising career, helping others with heart conditions. She assists a heart surgeon who performs ablations that prevent further deterioration of the heart organ.

My fiancé doesn't appreciate my DOG at all and that's why I'm making this appeal.
He is purebred, he has shared my life for 2 years. He loves toys even if he doesn't have all the parenting skills. Short hair but in need of grooming. Especially the upper body parts, he likes to shave them off. He often barks at night and has a habit of waking me up very early the next morning. He is a very picky eater, preferring only branded, expensive food.
Unfortunately, he doesn't make you happy when you get home. He's not very cuddly when you're a bit down. He doesn't usually bite, but he is usually short-tempered and growls easily.
Here it is... If you know someone who wants to care about my selfish, twisted and inhuman fiancé of 40 years, come and take him with you!!! My dog ​​and I want to find a new home for him!!!

We are thoroughly enjoying our wonderful dinner at Tommy Bahama on El Paseo in Palm Desert. While a bit pricey, really have it down when it comes to mining and refining flavors also helps tonight to have a $50 off $100 coupon that we earned by shopping at TB!  and did I mention that my mai tai was out of this world?
