Everyone did such an amazing job at my terrarium workshop on Sunday!

It was so lovely meeting everyone and seeing that some people had been treated to tickets as a surprise 💚

Thank you so much to for letting me use their amazing space for this workshop! I can't think of a better setting for a workshop...beers, plants and mid-century furniture ✅

I spent an unexpected, very uncomfortable 9 hours in A&E this morning. After lots of tests I've been told I have Pericarditis, an inflammation of the heart lining, which isn't serious so there's no need to worry! I just need to rest, which unfortunately means I can't take part in tomorrow's Sherwood Street Market 💔💔

This huge order arrived today just in time for my stall at the Market, I'd love for you to still be able to shop the new stock so keep an eye on my stories for a sale over the weekend 🌵🌱

I've been prepping for the Street Market all week so I'm super disappointed to not be there 👎 I'll hopefully see you all at the next one 💚

If you're unsure why we should be avoiding the use of peat in our potting mixes, For Peat's Sake website is full of very useful information:

'Why does peat need saving?

Currently, bogs all over the world are being 'harvested' to remove peat, which is then used in many composts. This process involves draining the land, removing the flora and fauna, and digging up the carbon-storing peat underneath. Not only does this destroy a really important habitat, but it exposes the peat to lots of oxygen from the air. This results in increased decomposition of the preserved organic matter which was previously storing the large amounts of CO2. The increase in decomposition releases the carbon into the atmosphere, contributing to the cause of global warming, excess greenhouse gases.'

Christmas 2020, the year I turned into a terrarium making machine 🌱

I loved making so many last year and hearing who they were for and where they were headed for Christmas 🎄

The large demijohns will be available again this Christmas on a pre order basis. Once you've pre-ordered, they will be handmade by me, and ready for collection in December 🎅 You can order yours from Friday 29th October, with pre-orders closing on 30th November (or when they sell out).
