❤️🐽❤️WE NEED YOUR HELP🐽❤️🐽

🐽❤️🐽WE ARE HEARTBROKEN🐽❤️🐽

I can’t show you a bunch of pictures of cute little piglets or tell you a tragic story of starving and neglected pigs - But I’m desperately hoping you’ll give this situation the same consideration anyway, I promise you, these two completely loving pigs are extraordinarily deserving of it and so is the elderly owner who’s doing everything she can to continue providing for them, although her physical body has continued deteriorating for the entirety of the year we’ve been looking for a home for this bonded pair.

Please think of the defeating feeling you’re forced to accept as you age, the inevitable time that comes when your health is failing and you have to accept that you can hardly care for yourself any longer, let alone the animals you’ve loved and have loved you since they were babies. Rose and Sparkle are a mother/daughter duo, very best friends and the sweetest pair of girls you’ll ever meet. Their owner would never consider losing them but she is in this very position and she has done everything right - she’s given us the time, she’s terrified they won’t find an amazing home and soon, she won’t have a choice because her health will not improve, she will not get younger and these beautiful girls will suffer.

We thought we’d found the best home for them - but due to no fault of the girls, a situation has changed their circumstance and they’ve backed out…

🐽❤️🐽WE NEED YOUR HELP🐽❤️🐽

These very bonded girls are super sweet, outdoor pigs and we’ll need to spay them when they lose a little weight… we’d love to find them a forever home or if you’re worried about the medical expenses that accompany new piggy family members, we will also consider a forever foster family… you can see from the pics they are good with animals and our whole team has fallen in love with them. They are 4 yrs and 2 yrs old and although you may see a little depression while they acclimate, they’ll be perfectly content as long as they have each other.

If you can help, or you have questions, please comment, send us a message or contact anyone on the team!! Jess (480) 570-9489

🚗 EMERGENCY TRANSPORT NEEDED 🚗
Tucson, AZ to Casa Grande, AZ

Rose and Sparkle were all set to go to their foster home this weekend. Rose was taken first, and then a family emergency occurred and she can no longer stay there. Now rose is separated from her bonded daughter, Sparkle, and she needs a ride back to her original home (and her daughter!) in Casa Grande asap. If you can help please send us a message. She will fit in a 42” crate. Must be in an enclosed vehicle or trailer- no truck beds.

🚗🚗 TRANSPORTATION HELP NEEDED 🚗🚗
From Phoenix to San Tan Valley

Clover needs a ride from her temporary foster in Phoenix to her longer term foster in San Tan Valley.

Clover will need a 42" PLASTIC crate and must be driven inside of your vehicle, no riding in truck beds! If you don't have a crate to use, we can try to locate one for you to borrow along your route.

If you can help give Clover a lift, please send us a message! Thank you! 🐽💛

UPDATE: FOSTER HOME FOUND! 🐽

Meet Penelope!

This sweet little girl is being surrendered due to no fault of her own.

Penelope is approx 7-9 weeks olds, eats pellets and very much enjoys spending time with people. She’s too young to be spayed, but we will have her spayed once she is old enough.

We would LOVE to see Penelope go to a home with other pigs so she can have future friends as she grows.

If you are interested in fostering this little girl until she is spayed and then she can be officially adopted, please send us a message!

Arizona residence only

It takes a village but we got these two pigs safely to their foster homes yesterday and today! Huge thanks to Lauren Johnson-Burton and her husband for dropping everything today and going out and picking up the female, who she named Clover! 🍀

Also, huge thanks to Becky Denny for going out yesterday to pick up the little boy! We're so grateful that she went by a few times to feed the pigs, even late at night!

Another huge thanks to Bonnie and Tom with The Backyard Barnyard Sanctuary for taking Clover in last minute as a temporary foster, no questions asked! We're beyond grateful!

Last but definitely not least, so many thanks to our very own amazing team member Jess Norton and her awesome partner Bry! They opened up their home to this little boy until he makes his way to Ironwood Pig Sanctuary!

🎥 Another video in the comments! 🎥

These are the moments that continue to give us the momentum and drive to keep going. There's days where we're drained emotionally; compassion fatigue has set in but with the help from all of you, our wonderful pig community we get the support we needed in that moment to continue on. Thank you for all your support; adopting and fostering, donations, your time and energy with transporting pigs, and for sharing all of the pigs we try so very hard to help. 💛🐽

UPDATE: We have the transport sorted out, thank you!!

🚨🚨 EMERGENCY!! 🚨🚨

Does anyone have a 42" PLASTIC crate that can be borrowed TODAY?

We need this crate for an emergency transport today. We're hoping to find a crate in the Glendale area or someone who can drop it off to an address in Glendale.

If you can help, please send us a message and we'll give you the drop off address or see if the volunteer can grab it on their way out to save this pig.

Thank you!!

🆘🆘🆘 EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED 🆘🆘🆘

We have an UNSPAYED young female pig who is in need of a TEMPORARY or long term foster! She is at a huge risk of being slaughtered and is currently not being fed! We will get her spayed once she is placed in foster and will cover her medical expenses.

We have a team member going to pick her up tomorrow afternoon but we need somewhere for her to go. She's currently an outdoor pig who is fairly small and social.

Please send us a message if you can help save her life! 🙏🏼

You must reside in Arizona to foster.

AZ Rescue Team Saving Pig’s Lives

AZ Piggy Network has been created as a collaborative effort between Better Piggies Rescue and Ironwood Pig Sanctuary to make a difference in the lives of pigs across the state of Arizona. The alarming numbers of abandoned, abused, neglected, surrendered and stray pigs continue to grow and multiply every day, leaving our sanctuaries and rescues struggling to make room and available homes at or above capacity. With no relief in sight, a team of dedicated rescuers have come together to assist the community with re-homing, adopting, fostering, placement, vetting and transport in and attempt to keep pigs out of sanctuaries, rescues, shelters and in the safety of loving homes.

In addition to our rescue efforts, we have a team of pig educated and experienced people who are available around the clock to answers questions and give assistance with your pig(s), to help with things like pig introductions, diet, preparing for fostering/adopting, giving referrals for veterinary care, tips and tricks for training, behavior issues and problems you may be experiencing in your home with these incredibly smart animals. With the start of good positive information, it is our hope we can keep more pigs in their original homes and lessen the trauma they deal with when losing their families.

What can you do to support the AZ Piggy Network: The community plays a big role in our success and we are always in need of willing people to help with transporting, fostering, home-checks, education, and the sharing of factual information about the health and wellness of these amazing creatures we have all fallen in love with. The rescues and fosters in our community are in need of monetary donations, blankets, pig feed, hay and a variety of items year round. If you’re willing and able to participate in our rescue efforts, please leave us a message, send us an email or call/text us and we can tell you how to get started.

Thank you, the Rescue Team at AZ Piggy Network,
