So we’ve been short on eggs lately at our nightly collection. We didn’t think much about it with all the rain, muddy mess, and construction around their coop.

During chores this morning I heard little peeps from the top of the stacked hay.

Well, I climbed up and encountered a very angry momma hen and about 10 dozen eggs. Out of those eggs we had a couple chicks!

Don’t forget- our animals LOVE pumpkins!!

We will take ANY and ALL pumpkins for the 🐓🐮🪿🐄🦃🦚🐿️🐴🦄

Like last year, we will have a crate at the end of the driveway to toss your pumpkins and gourds in. We will have the crate out starting Wednesday!

We even had some volunteer gourds pop up where the crate was last year and several in the pasture!

We will post pictures as we feed them, maybe you will recognize your perfectly craved 🎃

New member of the farm! Welcome 265!

265 needs a NAME! She is due in January 2025, not ideal weather but it wouldn’t be the first time we had a house calf!

We made the extremely difficult decision to rehome Toffee to an amazing family with 4 kids. Toffee has been a great first cow at the farm and has produced TONS of milk for us and some great babies. Her babies (Mocha) however still think they need to nurse on Toffee (and she happily lets them). We’ve tried everything under the sun to stop this behavior with zero success. So instead of stressing her (and us) about the issue, to a new farm she goes.
