Contractions have been quicker this time around. So far we have 2 puppies, both males! Just like the March litter. More pups are on the way… 🐾 🐶🥰

Whelp… the potential whelping window began yesterday (11/14) and goes until Thanksgiving day (11/23) …at the latest. We’ll be on labor watch with Mumma Annibelle between now and then.

🐾 How many puppies do y’all think will be in this litter? 🩵 How many boys? 🩷 How many girls? This will likely be a smaller litter than the previous one. It is also the last litter for Anniebelle & Sir Buddy, as they are retiring together next year.

Sure, time went backwards one hour this morning …but is it ever too early to think about puppies? 🐶

Every that has become an extension of ours as they adopted one of Annie+Buddy’s Sharpeagle pups… for them we are thankful such wonderful pups have their best lives ahead of them with equally wonderful people. 🥰

We paw-sitively adore these puppies! 🥰 With bad days come good days too and this pack of wiggle bums are wonderful companions, clowns (the not-so-scary kind), and comforters (as in—lap blankets). 🤭

The current HUGO (almost 7-months old now) vs. baby Hugo. We still think he’s cute-o. 🤭 But more than that… he is ready-o for his forever family. All that is left to do is match him with his perfect home so they can jump start his more specific training based on their preferred hobby/line of work.

POV: You’re the littlest, and younger, and older sister all at once. What else is there to do but photo bomb your brothers’ solemn moment for losing their “marbles” at the vet this week.

🐶 Hugo can resume travel (if adopted outside Indiana) once his neuter recovery is complete, on/after October 4th. There are no time restrictions if adopted in-state.

🙋🏻‍♂️ “How long do they sleep?”

🐶 These days they wake up super early 😩 …energized to do a quick potty and scarf down breakfast. Then comes the strategic puppy wrangling to get everyone in the car by 6:30 am so we can head to doggy daycare.

🙋 “Does everyone go to daycare?”

🐶 Most do but not all. Pups that are recovering from a neuter surgery will be home for 1-week (or 2-weeks for a spay surgery), before returning to the socialization of daycare.

🙋🏻‍♀️ “What are the pups up to when they get home from daycare?”

🐶 They have dinner by 6:45 pm, play/unwind until 7:30 pm, and then some pups actually put themselves to bed by 8:15 pm. If they go in their kennel I close the door but don’t latch it just in case they are only ‘pretend’ sleeping. Then it’s a short nap before ‘last call’ for a potty break, and finally… their actual bedtime (10:30 pm at the latest).

Nancy made some nifty t-shirts for the Puppy Wranglers that are showing our pups around a local farmer’s market today. If you want to meet a then venture over to Ellenberger Park between 12-2 pm today (Sunday, 8/13). Look for the helpers wearing these shirts and chances are you’ll find a too.
