⚠️ IN-PAW-TENT PUP-DATE ⚠️

So if you’ve seen my story you will know that I’ve just secured a very exciting job working for a fresh dog food company 🎉 It’s something I’ve always wanted to get into and even better - I am working on the events side of things, so will hopefully get to meet some of you very soon! 😀

However, this does mean that I will be taking a back seat from Willows Wonders, and changing this account to be more focused on Willow 🐶 This is purely my OWN DECISION as running a small biz certainly takes a lot of time and money. I’d like to focus ALL my energy into my new role, as it’s literally my dream job and something I’ve always wanted to do 💚

I just wanted to thank each and every one of you who have reached out wishing me luck, advice and love - you are all an incredible bunch 💖 I will still be selling my biscuits ONLY on Etsy, and I hope this can continue when I start my new job.

LETS TALK ABOUT CHICKEN 🍗 🐔

Although I am no nutritional scientist, we all know that chicken is a great source of protein allowing muscle repair and helping promote bone health. It’s also a great source of B3 and B6 vitamins, which helps lower cholesterol, eases arthritis and keeps the immune/nervous system healthy 🥳

HAPPY EARTH DAY 🌍 🌱 It’s Earth Day today and we want to THANK YOU for looking after the planet 🥰 We’re also here to show you some sustainable swaps you and your pup can do to make this world an even better place 💚 Earth Day is a great time for all of us to stop and evaluate our environmental impact 🌱

1. Shop sustainably & donate - ask other doggie owners if they have any clothes you can buy of them if your pup is smaller than theirs 🐶 Also donating towels, bed and blankets to dog rehoming charities ☺️ Food wise, donate a meal to another dog less fortunate each time a customer signs up, what a great initiative 🤗
2. Use small businesses - that really care about our planet, places like Amazon are in it for the money and aren’t sustainable (personal opinion, don’t @ me please 😂). We love small sustainable businesses like who we make these thank you biscuits for 🌍
3. Reduce single use waste and recycle - choose treat companies that don’t use single waste packaging. This is why we use resealable bags, in the hopes they’ll be used over and over again for other dog treats! If you finish a toilet roll, pop some treats into it and make it a game for your pet, then recycle - even something as small as this makes something that’s single use, double use! If you use tinned dog food, make sure these are washed out and recycled too ♻️
4. Use eco friendly products - biodegradable poo bags, sustainably sourced toys ( is amazing), recyclable containers to store treats or dog food in - we use an empty butter container!
5. Plant a tree 🌲 lots of charities do this if you don’t have a garden yourself but doing something as little as planting a tree will have a great positive impact on the environment 🌍

This list is just my own personal opinion, but there’s lots online if you’d like to expand this list and do some more to help the world we live in 🤩

CHEEKY CHICKEN PIECES 🐔

These are one of our most popular products on the website and the pups love them 🤤 Chicken is a great source of protein and contains plenty of amino acids! A 40g bag is £5, then the largest bag we do (160g) is £15, and that’s a lot of chicken! It’s dehydrated so naturally a lot lighter. WHOLESALE WILLOWS WONDERS ORDERS 📦

Please feel free to get in touch about ANYTHING you have in mind, no order is a silly order! 😂 The wonderful did a dog show this weekend and she asked me to make a load of ‘Thank You’ biscuits to give out to her customers who bought form her stall (so cute right!). Of course I had to make her a personalised biscuit too 🥰 I love the fact Cara chose Willows Wonders and would love to do more wholesale orders for my lovely customers ❤️

🎂 🥳 DOG FURRRRENDLY BIRTHDAY CAKE 🥳 🎂

Always wanted to make your pups a cake for their special day? 🎉 We made one for and it was a great hit! All you need is the following:

For the cake:
* 210g plain or wholemeal flour
* 1 peeled banana, mashed
* Half a grated carrot
* 2tsp coconut oil
* 250ml oat milk
* 1 egg
* A tablespoon of peanut butter (we added this for extra yums!)
For the decoration:
* 1 large potato, mashed
* Treats to decorate (we used sprats, Willows Wonders by Em biscuits and desiccated coconut)

Method:
* Preheat oven to 180 degrees c and line a small cake tin. We used a heart shaped silicone mould, but you could make mini pup-cakes instead.
* Put your banana into a bowl and mash with a fork, then add whisked egg, grated carrot, peanut butter, melted coconut oil and oat milk. Mix all the ingredients together, then add the flour and stir.
* Spoon the cake mixture into the lined cake tin and level out, using the back of a spoon. Bake the cake 20 minutes to 30 minutes until completely cooked through, then remove the cake from the oven and leave it to cool. Don’t worry if the cake doesn’t rise much - that’s because there is no baking powder in this recipe.
* Whilst your cake is cooling, make the frosting. Peel and chop your potato into chunks, then boil in a saucepan of water for 15-20 minutes until soft. Drain your potato and leave to cool before mashing. Make sure it’s mashed thoroughly and that there are no lumps. Loosen with a little water and spoon onto the cake (or put into a piping bag and decorate)
* Decorate with your dog’s favourite treats. If it’s for their birthday, you can even add a meaty stick-shaped edible dog treat to make a candle. Serve your dog a small slice as a celebratory treat!

Recipe taken from but amended slightly. We hope you love it 💚
