The goats got uograded to a nee feeder! And the lambs are checking it out too.
The little duck sounds are so cute, I could sit outside and listen all day.
Something about their little wagging tails just makes me giggle!
Ryan fixed the chicken tractor back up and reinforced it. We moved the ducks out as a transitional space until the chicken run is ready for them. We also added a couple lambs to the farm. They will be raised for meat and the ducks will be for eggs.
Moving our chickens onto fresh pasture every morning keeps them happy and healthy. We will be taking preorders this week so be on the lookout for that!
Dani Thellman You are our winner!! We will reach out to you about getting your organic pasture raised whole chicken. Congrats and thanks to everyone who shared and commented!
Chickens raised on pasture both live off the land and give back to the land. When chickens are afforded ample time to roam and forage outdoors, they have access to nutrient-dense food in the form of insects, worms, grass, and seeds, which provide a wealth of extra vitamins and minerals to their diet. Allowing chickens to forage in their natural rhythm means that whatever they consume is given back to the land too. Our chickens love the fresh clover and grass they are offered every morning.
Our goats LOVE horseweed, which comes plentifully in our backyard. The kids will find it and come back to give them treats all day long.
