Interstate K9 is originally located in Texas, just north of Houston. Our goal and our mission is to help as many puppies, dogs or other animals receive rehab, and get them into their forever homes. We started this mission when Covid 19 came into everyone’s lives. We had done rehab with canines here and there, but mostly focused on equines that have been seized or surrendered. Due to Covid 19, there has been a massive increase in dogs being surrendered, or dumped and left for dead on the side of the road, or at the kill shelters. Less and less people are having their dogs vetting, not spaying or neutering their dogs, creating more and more puppies. So many other rescues are overcrowded or no longer have the funding for rehab. This is where we come in, we take only the puppies, the dogs that have no where else to go but either pass away due to their neglect of vetting, or care, or they get put to sleep when they end up in the shelter without anyone claiming them. We work on rehabbing, retraining, and then rehoming any animal that we come in contact with. We will do whatever it takes to get the animals that come into our care to end up in a great home. For that reason, we use several different transport services to get our babies to their new families.
