She is still missing and has traveled a little ways up from where she was hanging out for 2 weeks. She is being caught on ring cameras in the middle of the night. We need people to check ring cameras from middle of night to early hours of the morning if they live anywhere off of Depot Rd in Broad Brook.

This beautiful Bernice Mountain dog slipped her collar. She missing in Emily Rd /Main St area. New to the area, very skittish. If seen, do not approach or chase. please call the number immediately if seen.

“What’s it like being a dog groomer?”

This is a question I hear pretty often. Wanna know one aspect??

It’s wet. Hahaha Bathtime is normally a chorus of my speaking and singing to my furry clients, my squealing when they shake all over me, (every single one of them gives a doggie laugh at that!!) laughter, and occasionally a few ‘oh, noooo’s’ as I find water splashed in my face, resulting with water dripping off my nose. 🤣 It’s an excellent time!

It’s also sweet. Puppy kisses, puppy smiles, clean, happy, smiling dogs, warm, sudsy water, and the BEST part… the TOWEL DRY!!! These furry guys get a full body massage, from head to tail, as I towel dry them, and they looooove it!!! *ahem* So do I. lol

Lucy is an awesome 3-year old Golden girl. Friendly, energetic, happy, kissy, snuggly, and so very good! Though she was 💯 against the danger noodle, (dryer) she was an absolute doll throughout her groom. I can’t wait to see her again!

Diane Badagliacco you are such a magnificent mommy to Lucy, and have raised an amazing fuzzy girl! It was a pleasure grooming her, and getting to know you. 😊🐾😁

“Do you get to play with dogs all day?!?” This is the most frequently-asked question I get. Alas, the answer is no. However, I get to do something FAR better, if you can believe it.

Every groom is different, because each furry client is wholly unique unto themselves. I have clients who are so laidback, they fall asleep. Some are incredibly frightened. There are fighters, lovers, those who enjoy the bath, those who are fearless when it comes to the dryer, acrobats, tap dancers, and those who play the “tub is lava” game, and consider the dryer the mother of all danger noodles. Haha

But, what can possibly be better than playing with dogs all day??

Whispering to a frightened dog while in the bath, slowly and gently washing away their fears with warm, sudsy water. Giving them a relaxing massage, to calm their nerves, while singing little made-up-on-the-spot songs to them. Drying them off, picking them up, and seeing for myself the frightened dog I put into the sink is NOT the dog I’ve taken out — relaxed, giving a few kisses, leaning their head against my chest. ♥️ Talking to, petting and singing to a dog who is afraid of the blow dryer, and seeing that moment when they realize they’re not in danger. That really makes my heart smile! Transforming a dog’s coat into something which reflects their sweet angel personality. Finding they have independently chosen to come sit on my lap and snuggle, after their whole groom is finished. 🐾💕🤗

What a majestic dog Hudson is! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but these gorgeous pics are missing a bunch about this guy’s personality, which I’ll try to fill in for you…

Hudson… he’s SO playful and happy! He likes to run and jump, and oh my, does he like cheese. Hudson is incredibly helpful during grooms, (lifting this paw and that, turning in the most helpful direction…) and he really enjoys a good hug! 💕

As per usual, I got so excited over grooming Lexi, that I COMPLETELY FORGOT to take a before pic. 🫤

Little Miss Lexi’s coat had made it through the winter, and she looked like the world’s fluffiest muppet! 🤣♥️ Her mom, Sandy Ross, asked me to take her coat all the way down, and being that the weather is warming up so nicely, I totally agreed with that idea. She looks SPECTACULAR!!! 🎉

How I LOVE what I do! ♥️

Yesterday I had the pleasure of grooming Cooper. Like my own Maggie the Brave, Cooper is also very successfully undergoing treatment for Lymphoma, (can I get an F Cancer?!?!?). His moms and furry brothers all have his back, and he’s living the BEST doggie life! Happy, snuggly, hungry, and playful. I connected with Cooper, and my heart smiled!

Just a little reminder not to bring your pets outside during the eclipse, (2:10pm-4:36pm today). Their eyes are just like ours, in that they too will burn their retinas, resulting in vision loss. And, no, sunglasses will unfortunately NOT WORK. Don’t take the risk of that happening to your furbabies!

Cooper, King of Fluff!!! 👑

How I love grooming this guy! The Super Duper Cooper is the kind of dog that I just want to cuddle all day. He’s warm, soft, sweet, and gives so many kisses… just fabulous! And, to make it even better, his family is extraordinary! You should see how beautifully clear of knots and mats his mom, Jenn, keeps his thick coat… Bravo! 👍🏻

This is my most favorite client, ever! I’d like you all to meet my own sweet furbaby, Magnolia. ❤️

My friend Lori heads a brick and mortar grooming salon, (as opposed to my housecalls) at Richmond Valley Veterinary Hospital, in Staten Island. Maggie and I were invited over for the day. 💗 While there, amongst lots of laughs and chit chat, I gave Maggie a total makeover! Lucky for me, she’s such a good girl, and was on her best behavior! How flippin’ CUTE is she?!?!? 🤗

As many of you may know, our sweet Magnolia has lymphoma. Dr. Osterman of Richmond Valley Vet is the most magnificent veterinarian, and is also Maggie’s personal doctor. Between Dr. Osterman’s knowledge, dedication, and deep affection for animals, my tireless work, rock-solid commitment and absolute love, and my husband’s utter selflessness, generosity, and besotted love, (and definitely a great amount of assistance from God 💕) Maggie is going strong for over two years!!! She’s zooming, eating, playing, eating, snuggling, (did I mention eating? lol) and is enjoying every minute of her life! My sweet baby… ☺️

Ah, Zeus, you are such a doll! This little fella is so small, warm and snuggly. I can just imagine how lovely it must be to curl up with him for an evening of Netflix binging.

Zeusie was in need of a serious haircut, and that’s exactly what I gave him. This boy turned out dashing, as always!

It’s impossible not to fall in love with this handsome gentleman, Jackson.

Oooof! This boy melts my heart. He’s a kisser, a snuggler, and his fur is so very soft! I could sit and pet him for hours. 💕

When we first started out together, Jackson was incredibly wary of me and all of my equipment. His groom had been a bit of a struggle for both myself and his family, (Paula Brook Lyn 🎶those were the daaaays🎶). Now? He greets me happily at the door, I get kisses and cuddles, he allows me to trim his nails almost like it’s nothing, and bath time is no longer a full-impact sport. Haha Jackson has grown nice and comfy with me, and my heart smiles every time I see him!

Today I had my share of sweet and spicy, (to be honest, they were BOTH sweet). Please welcome Benny and Frankie to the DDHG crew!!

Benny and Frankie are not fans of having their nails trimmed. Under any circumstances. Period. lol Their mom, Rachel, has been doing her very best, but she needed a little help, so she reached out to me.

Both boys were as sweet as sugar; however, once Frankie got up on the table, he showed us his spicy dance floor moves! Whoooooo! 🌶️🎶🪩🐾

I gave them both a clipping, but in order to ensure I didn’t cut the quick, we’ve got a few more appointments ahead of us. Luckily, if a dog’s nails are trimmed a little every few weeks, we can train those quicks to recede before you know it. Frankie’s mom was the BEST assistant groomer, and together we’ve started on this journey to help the boys get their nails in tip top shape!

Meet Bailey, Jax Guarino’s sweet-as-sugar little fluff! At first glance, little Bailey reminded me so much of my own childhood dog, Salty. Looking into his warm, welcoming eyes, I felt incredibly nostalgic, (Salty was a different breed — a Cairn Terrier — but he just felt so familiar to me ❤️).

This little guy was SO excited to see me!! He was running all around, super hyper, occasionally stopping just long enough to give me a quickie kiss before running around some more. I can’t lie, I definitely thought to myself, “Oh boy, he’s gonna be quite the Bouncy Buddy!” How wrong I was!

As soon as I placed him on the table, he made it his mission to show me what a super good boy he was! Turn this way and that, lift up this paw, then that one… he was excellent! With his mom acting as my assistant, (and what a fabulous one she was!) I was able to give him the haircut she very much desired!

When this little guy wasn’t all wrapped up in his wizardly dog business, (getting pets, pets and more scritchy-scratchy pets, filling his home to the brink with squeaky toys, hypnotizing his mom and dad into giving him 🎶 all the cheese🎶) he was totally hamming it up to me. 😄

Please allow me to introduce you to Molly! She’s sweet, she’s playful, and she’s soooo spunky!

This little firecracker greeted me with all of the enthusiasm of Christmas morning in a house full of kids! Jumping, running, playing, giving kisses and big puppy smiles!!

Today was her first groom, ever. She was excellent during her bath, was thoroughly courageous during her blow-dry, and did me the courtesy of allowing me to give her a haircut. As she’s just a puppy, she soon became very tired. I bet she’s going to sleep like a log tonight!!
