Happy - black and white female cat with a stache 😂 This super friendly and affectionate girl is around 2 years old. Has already been spayed and felv/fiv free. She’s a calm and loves being around humans. 💖✨

Donna - light grey tabby
Donna is also around two years old and was found with a fractured leg and sporo. She has been at the vet for the longest time ever and now is ready to be discharged - completely healed and free of sporo.

McPurry - ginger
Recovered from FIP, McPurry is now looking for a foster home where he can be showered with lots of love .😁. He is around one year old, super friendly and is the biggest cuddle bear.

At our November ’24 adoption event, we hosted a series of talks centered around pet care and animal welfare, led by experts in veterinary care, dog training, grooming, nutrition, dental health, physiotherapy, and community animal management. The aim of these talks was to provide key information on a broad range of subjects that would be useful for everyone from first-time pet owners to seasoned caregivers. We were delighted that so many of you were able to attend the talks, but we want ALL of you to benefit from these sessions. So here is the first of your “digested” talks!

One very important topic covered by Dr Wan of Dobby Veterinary Clinic was how to check your pets for sickness. This practical session focused on conducting a nose-to-tail health check for cats and dogs to help owners recognise potential health concerns early and know when it’s time to visit the vet.

Over the Christmas break, our wonderful foster started to TNR some cats in her local area. She quickly realised there were a lot more cats in the colony than first thought, and many with sickness — this project was definitely going to need more manpower… and more funds! Sharing about her efforts, and jumped on board to help and, through our new Support Programme, we were delighted to guide and fund these 3 amazing ladies.

After 5 rounds of catching and lots of conversations with management on site, the small team made quick progress. To date, 22 adult cats have been neutered, 1 gave birth at the vet and is now in foster care with her babies and 4 kittens are in foster care and now up for adoption. Sadly 1 little baby didn’t make it, succumbing to a deadly mix of FPV, giarrdia and FCoV. Three queens are suspected to have given birth on site (only 1 litter spotted so far) and efforts continue to get them off the streets along with their babies, who they are keeping well hidden!

There is estimated to be another 7 adults to neuter as well as the mother cats to find and board or foster with their babies as soon as possible.

All cats taken in for neutering are receiving a health check, treatment for sickness and injuries, vaccination and parasite treatment, to ensure they are fit for release (where we are informed that staff on site do feed them).

Here’s where you can support this project:
•⁠ ⁠Sponsor a cat for RM250, or donate any amount to support the vet bills for this project. The bills are yet to be paid and will be shared soon.
•⁠ ⁠Donate cat food (to be passed to the staff on site).
•⁠ ⁠Adopt a cat to give them a longer and safer life (enquire via DM).

Meet Sake! Though shy at first, Sake’s heart opens wide with patience. She’s a sweet yet sassy companion who adores people and thrives on gentle affection. Food is her love language, and she’ll reward you with the softest “air biscuits” ever!

This gorgeous girl was once an outdoor kitty who loved to visit for meals, but earlier this year, her health took a turn. She started losing weight and was struggling to eat. After a vet visit, we discovered her gums were sore from painful ulcers, and she tested FIV positive. Thanks to a month of care and love, her condition stabilised, and she’s back to munching happily again! Sake’s health is stable, with only a vet check-up needed every six months to keep her in top form. Her stomatitis (gum inflammation) is well-managed, and we’re planning a full mouth extraction before adoption to ensure she’s as comfortable as possible. Cats like Sake can live long, happy lives with just a bit of extra love—and they’ll return it tenfold with their resilience and sweet nature!

We realised that Miny the tuxedo cat really resembles a black and white French bulldog… so we decided to make some comparisons.
Conclusions: both are tiny but mighty, but Miny (lots of rhyme!!!) might be a tad cooler… though we might be biased 🤪

If you’re looking for a kitty who’s always dressed in their best, playful, cuddly and fun, you’ve found the one!
